Looks awesome. Can't wait until mine gets there. I think Apple tests these for final color. What I mean is that they make sure that over time there is a good/decent color. This is why I settled for brown. I want the color change.

It is very nice and I agree.

It will change color unevenly, from the sides towards the center. Might take a month. To quicken the center back just handle the phone on the back equally as the sides.

Just got my leather case. Does anyone feel one side "move" when you wrap your hand around your phone and squeeze to grip

I do when I first put on the case. Pushing the edges of the case into the edges of the phone (not down into the case) causes my phone to snap in fully, eliminating the movement. For me anyway ;)

Yea I have no movement at all when I squeeze the sides of mine, all good here.

I condition mine about once a month. My midnight blue's leather is so soft and still looks brand new. Think I've had it around 3 months now. Great case and I hate cases.

What are you using to condition it?

Ironically a brand named Apple. I've been treating all my leather goods for years and have tried many brands. This is as good, if not better as any I've used. I'm a big fan of it. It cleans, conditions and water-proofs the leather. It's wax free and also won't darken the leather as some conditioners will do. My blue Apple case is not any darker then the day I got it. Same goes for my boxing gloves, wallets, shoes etc......

Also it takes off any scratches that I get on the case.

Here is a crappy photo of my 2 cases. My apt is very dark.

I dunno, we condition the leather seats in our cars, but I am not sure if it is needed on leather phone cases as the natural oils from our hands condition it every time we hold it:confused:

So I decided to take the plunge and get the Apple leather case for my 6+ last week. Word of advice try on the case while in the store before buying if you can. Here's why.

I first bought the black leather IP6+ case because they were out of the blue leather, which I really prefer. Went home and put the case on and was very surprised by how responsive the sleep/wake button was through the case. I mean, SUPER responsive. I loved it.

Couple days later the blue leather case was in stock again (Best Buy) and so I went to the store to exchange it. After the exchange, I sat in my car outside the BB and put the blue leather case on. To my dismay, the sleep/wake button was TERRIBLY unresponsive compared to the black one. I may be exaggerating but that's how I felt because the first case was SO responsive. I went right back into the store and asked to exchange for another blue case. I went to the case aisle and tried on every last blue leather case they had and none felt like the first. So in the end, I had to switch back to my first, black leather case. Because for $50, I want that nice responsive feeling on the buttons.

So based on my experience, I can say that not all Apple Leather cases are created equal. The tolerances are not as tight as they should be for $50 BUT when you find one with responsive buttons, hold on to it and don't let go! I do love the case, just not the fact that I can't find a blue leather one that feels as good!

Beyond conditioning and protecting the leather it also cleans it. Every case gets dirty, leather or not. With the dark colors, especially black, it may not be as noticeable to the eye but that doesn't mean it's not filthy with bacteria buildup. This is your best option to safely clean the leather.

Just got the black version for iPhone 6 today and a Zagg Glass. Seriously nice case. Can't speak for durability yet, but at first glance, is my version of "the case". Can't believe how form fitting and dimunative it is. Barely changes the the naked dimensions. Out of the box, if it didn't have a faint leather smell, you'd have a hard time telling it was leather. Overall, couldn't be more pleased.

Thinking of buying the black leather Apple case to go with my Space Gray i6. One thing I wat to know, with it being leather, does it 'shred'? I've had poor quality leather cases before and over time with moisture/use it shreds slightly like card. Anyone?

Wow, so funny I have the exact same 2 cases (except my heritage is black for space gray iP6)- couldn't decide between the brown/black, went with black.

Question for you- as perfect as the leather case is, I'm finding it difficult to keep the iP6 covered and I always end up taking it off and just use the sleeve with the phone naked. Are u finding the same thing????

The leather does not fray or shred. The only time it would probably do that is if you drop it and scuff it bad.

These cases are backed by a 1 year warranty so if the leather delaminates without abuse.

Well, I find myself using each case about 50% of the time. Sometimes it depends on the situation. I've always used Sena pouches for past iPhones, never much of a case guy. This time around I've surprisingly become quite fond of the Apple case. I like the feel of the leather and love the look of the dark blue on my silver phone. I also love going "naked" as well and the leather on this particular Sena is soft as butter. I have found a nice balance of the best of both worlds for me. Rock the Apple case for 3-4 days then use the Sena for 3-4 days and so on....

is it a hassle to take the phone out the sleeve every time?
