Most certainly. I should have inserted the word "unwritten" in there.

However i do want to note that I was a disbeliever in the OP until proven otherwise only. At the same time when someone did make a personal attack comment totally unrelated to the subject I was also quick to denounce that behaviour.

That's what I thought also. I remember somewhere that Apple did state that it will have 12W included. I guess that didn't happen.:(

Hmm. I recall reading a few articles that stated it would have a 12W adapter.

Disappointing..

OP pissed at everyone. Not even responding or might be eating.. You never know.

I think he has work to do. He just got home to get a feel for it. Give him some time to look around. He's going to be inundated with questions until the rest of us get ours.

I called 6 waltmart. No luck

they are all putting them back under the counters:) lol :p

I feel like this is an opportunity to get some information and it's being wasted on nonsense.

OP, so after using it for a couple of hours what are your impressions? Are you enjoying the form factor as you continue to use it? Have you had to charge it up yet, and if so how long did it take to get to 100%? There's been a lot of talk around here about the RAM, do you notice any trouble with having multiple tabs open, or anything along those lines?

I've been using the Mini on and off since I came home around 4:30pm central. The battery was around 90% when I first turned it on. It's at 67% as I type. I haven't gamed much other than testing Punchout and One Epic Knight which lagged a bit in some parts but it also lagged in the iPad 3 as well. I haven't watched any YouTube videos yet nor have I listened to any songs since I haven't uploaded anything into the Mini yet. I did test out the lightning connector and it works as advertise. I tested the multiple tabs by having 8 tabs opened and it lagged in the 4th tab which was The Verge's tab that always takes long to load IMO. The other tabs loaded quick and were usable before The Verge's tab was fully loaded. There was a slight lag when closing each tab but nothing dreadful.

As for the form factor, I like it. It's not as natural to hold as the Nexus 7 but it's still comfortable for me. The Mini feels light and has a premium feel. The bezel is small on the sides which is good and the physical home button is smaller than the regular ipad's but Apple couldn't make it any larger if they want a small bezel. The home button feels good to press though and is typical of Apple's hardware. The screen is a downer but I already knew that going in. It's growing on me as I came from the iPad 3 and Nexus 7 displays which had better resolutions. The screen is bright and I have yet to really test it out in the sunlight.

I don't know if this has been answered, but how is the display compared to an iPad 3? Heck, bring it to an Apple store tomorrow to compare it while getting serious head turners! :)

The iPad 3 blows the Mini display out of the water. There's really no way the 1024x768 display can go up against the 2048x1536. That being said, it's comparable to the Nexus 7's display and the display has a better ppi than the iPad 2 so that could make or break someone buying a Mini or iPad 2.

Thanks, I can't reply to everything but I'm trying my best.

I thought it's just me when loading Verve site (as am not a fan or don't go often to that site :D).

This has got to be the BEST thread I've ever seen on this website, by far. Proving wrong all these [insert expletive] stole the iPad mini's thunder in this thread. I'm so sick of all the negativity, hostility, and bullying in these forums. It's nice to see some people make complete fools out of themselves.

No, it just demonstrated that they were already fools and were showing their true colors...

I don't have a smart cover for the Mini but landscape typing is pretty good. It's a bit easier to reach the middle letters than the ipad 3 and I think it'll work just fine for taking notes. In portrait mode, I prefer it over the Nexus 7 which was too narrow for my liking.

Thanks! But did you try typing in landscape while the iPad is on the table or only when held upright and thumb typing?

I think the white iPads and iPhones look prettier and much less generic than the black versions. I worried about the bezel annoying me during movies but as soon as I received my iPad (white) I promptly forgot all such worries while oohing and aahing over it. But I do like the slate back..!

I'm actually not crazy about the slate back.. I'm not complaining about it though. I love the black front though. I had a white iPad 2/4S so switched to a black 5/mini is a nice change.

agreed. How long does it take to browse the internet and view sites?? Do you notice vast difference between the 3? Do you have netflix? If so, hows viewing movies on it?

There's also some high res photo examples on other threads that people used to test to see how long it takes to load.

Wait, so you went to Wal-Mart with the only intention of exchanging your Nexus 7 16 GB for one with 32 GB. And then you come home with a different 16 GB tablet and even less money? That's what I would call a shopping failure.

Exactly what I thought when I read the OP.

If the black one had an aluminum back, I would be indifferent between the two colors. The back on the white mini is what sold me on it. I'm getting the white one for sure.

Congrats

to the OP. Wish that had happened to me. Anyway, enjoy your new iPad Mini! I'll just have to wait till tomorrow to play with my new toy
