iPad mini Just got my iPad mini at Walmart!

Were you even on when the poster came on claiming to have an iPad mini that doesn't go on sale until Friday. First doesn't post any pictures. Then posts a picture of a receipt. Yet no picture of the actual product. What the hell do you think people are going to say on here? Are you that dense that you can't deduce the reaction? Same reaction would have been received with an other Apple product. Show a picture of the product, or the thread is useless.

The OP did not provide a picture until 6hrs after first creating the thread. Blame it on him for being slow and posting picture of a receipt and not the iPad.

The OP doesn't owe a picture to anybody. He created a thread to inform others that the iPad mini was being sold at his local Walmart and assured everyone a picture of the device would be posted in a couple of hours. He did absolutely nothing to warrant that type of hostility and name-calling. He promised pictures and he delivered AND he was telling the truth. If the thread was "useless" to you then you should have left and moved on to one that was useful to you. Instead, you opted to stay and contribute to the bullshhh trolling. I'll tell you what's truly useless: your false accusations.

Yes the receipt looked altered to me. So what. The numbers don't make sense in the way the return was done (no sales tax added for the return of the N7) in addition to a discount of 10% being given twice (one for $8 and another for $32.90). So yes, it didn't make sense as some random guy with ~ 100 posts comes on two days before the launch and says he has a new iPad mini. Doesn't provide pictures. Then takes the time to take and post a picture of a receipt. But doesn't provide a picture of the item. Why do you think so many people thought it wasn't for real? Apple has a strict policy about sales before a launch. The OP would have been wise to post a picture of just the iPad and nothing regarding the receipt or location of sale. Would have been done with everything on the first post. But no, he wanted to drag the whole excitement out over 6 hours.

If you think someone is trolling, report them or ignore the post. Please don't make a public spectacle of it and/or yourselves.

Again, he's not required to post a picture. You all wanted a picture and when you didn't get it, you lost your shhh and ran wild with the unfounded theories and accusations. Wish it would've been me to have that pleasure.

This thread is not bad. And anyway, it was the post where someone called the store and asked that made every one laugh at this.

It really seemed like he was caught out. Any rational person would have then used the 'T' word. anyways, it's just a fun thread. People having a good time. I sensed no malice. Nothing personal. On the other hand, I've seen some pretty seriously disturbed threads where people argue over nothing for hours. They do this without direct name calling, carefully staying within the guidelines. Yet they are out...of....Control.

What is it like for typing traditionally on with landscape orientation? Example using it with the smart cover on a table. I want to use the mini in meetings to take notes, can it be used in this way?

OP, so after using it for a couple of hours what are your impressions? Are you enjoying the form factor as you continue to use it? Have you had to charge it up yet, and if so how long did it take to get to 100%? There's been a lot of talk around here about the RAM, do you notice any trouble with having multiple tabs open, or anything along those lines?

I don't have a smart cover for the Mini but landscape typing is pretty good. It's a bit easier to reach the middle letters than the ipad 3 and I think it'll work just fine for taking notes. In portrait mode, I prefer it over the Nexus 7 which was too narrow for my liking.
