Just Got My White Glass Backplate For My iPhone 4

I was wondering the same thing. Obviously, once its available, the demand for the White iPhone can be filled by direct purchase, but if these parts are coming from rejected batches, once the batches are no longer rejected, the supply might dry up.
I wouldn't worry so much about supply of these backplates. They will still be on sale for those who want to replace a damaged/scuffed backplate.
I repaired my 3GS earlier and I went to their website. They also have white iPhone 4 back plates available and they do the service for you. I'm not sure if they only fix the glass or replace the entire back plate.

i thought it was gonna be fugly but doesnt look bad with the black bumper. the price is a ripoff though
It appears they offer to "repair" white iPhone 4s. They list the service at $179, which would appear to mean they could convert your black i4 to a white one.
I did a full replacement on my iphone4 as soon as it came out of the box on Monday. I've been ripping my hair out since. The front look PERFECT. I love that. The back looks good but... I went with the $10 back. I did see the ones for about $100 but thought, wow.. i just saved $90... NOPE. The $10 one is just glass... no cam ring(lens) and the flash doesnt have the "difuser". My pics in the light are OK. Use the flash and the pic is all white. Now to wait another 2weeks for a real, complete, white back. Embarrassed to take night pix with the phone... That bad
I want to replace the front also but it looks like a lot of small parts to take apart with my big hands. LOL
It isn't that hard to do. Just take your time, keep track of your screws, and have plenty of light.
Sorry for the late reply! Yes, they are white on the white iPhone and black on the black one - look inside the headphone or dock ports, and on the white phone, they are white.

Funny story on that. I was waiting on the iphone parts to arrive from china, so i was checking the mail every day in anticipation... and one day I got a mailer from china! I was so excited.. it didnt feel quite right, too flexible to be my iphone parts.. but i still held out hope.. Then I opened it.
It's a a mousepad. With ****** on it.
Turns out my buddy from work ordered it for me for my birthday, and never told me about it. I guess he thought it'd be funnier if it just randomly came in the mail, and I didnt know who did it.
TLDR: No, i don't like buttholes. Funny gift.

I just don't understand how you can look at that photo and still not wish to kill yourself.
Can somebody please post pictures taken (with flash) with the phone with original backplate and then pictures taken (with flash) with the white backplate that does not have a diffuser?
Pictures posted in another thread of the cheap "aluminum" backplates without diffusers definitely showed issues. I went through this entire thread and did not see anybody post pictures taken with the phone.
Can anybody prove that the diffuser isn't needed?
