Just Got My White Glass Backplate For My iPhone 4

I was so excited.. it didnt feel quite right, too flexible to be my iphone parts.. but i still held out hope.. Then I opened it.

Turns out my buddy from work ordered it for me for my birthday, and never told me about it. I guess he thought it'd be funnier if it just randomly came in the mail, and I didnt know who did it.

TLDR: No, i don't like buttholes. Funny gift.

I got my back plate today :)

Of course the flash diffuser is missing. I was thinking is it possible to transfer it from the old back plate to the new one... it seems like it's glued onto it so I couldn't remove it...

This is the one I got, the cheapest :) and I can tell you it's perfectly OEM but no flash diffuser (all backplates currently available are like that). I hope they'll start selling the diffusers soon :)

The link you poste up looks like it's an original backplate, but my bottom line of writing is slightly different and mine's insulated on the inside just like the original black one I took off (this one you posted doesn't seem to be insulated on the inside).

That's just the glass. You have to use a heatgun to pry the black glass of your original plate then glue the white one to your existing back plate.

If you do that your warranty will be void. If you buy the whole back piece you can just put your old one back on when/if you have to take your iphone in for service

yes you bought the glass only. it's almost impossible to remove the backplate to fit onto the what glass because it's glued on unless you heat it up, but you probably will damage both the glass and the backplate.

This one is on sale now about an hour left , just snatched one for $71.50 after ebates and eBay bucks ,otherwise it's $74.95 from the original $85.00 price

yikes, lots of them on eBay making the choice difficult! I was in the replicase eBay seller's store and saw one of these as well (and i immediately recalled this thread!)

It is similar to the prices of the China ones and looks like one of the cheapest ones in the USA. It says the flash diffuser is not included. I'm really thinking of buying one! the white replicase is good but the added bulk makes this look amazing!

it doesn't say OEM or Genuine but heres one of their images, looks pretty legit :p

yeah... and it's flush with the surface so it's impossible to get it out...

same thing like all others no diffuser... I recommend elecchina (on eBay)... Cheapest and is sent from Singapore with tracking. I hope when the white iPhone comes out either there will be backplates with diffusers built in or just that part available...
 
It's nice to know you can easily replace the back but if the back glass breaks it will be harder I suppose, maybe even undoable?

which is the best quality for decent price that we've found so far? still the globaldirect ones or an ebay seller? has anyone had first hand experience with any of these ebay ones and can provide a mini review or pics? thanks

The one from my post (#252) is oem and is the same as the ones from globaldirect and is cheaper.
