sorry it wasnt a lie, it was a misunderstanding. i thought he was asking if he could pull it half way down and it would stay half way down without going all the way down.
 
Are there any improvements to Maps? Any chance the weather icon no longer insists that it's always 73 and sunny?

Also, what's with the new music app? Did they simply change the iPod icon, or is it like the music app on the iPad? And if so, is there a separate video app/icon?

it sent it as a .loc file. the text looks like this:

1234 Random Dr.loc
0.6 KB (text/vcard)

its not clickable for me though.

What I meant exactly was, whether you can drag it down and actually control it.

You know grab the menu and without letting go, move up and down at your will and once you let go depending on where it's closer to the bottom or the top, it'll move there.

Basically like Android notifications bar if you've tried it.

alternate routes, weather icon still says 73. ipod is now music and theres a seperate video app.

you control it until you let go.

Only app I have that doesn't work is the exceptional Radarscope weather radar. I've let the company know, but I'm sure they're on it.

Also, I've noticed a glitch with CALENDAR. When you are creating a new event or editing an existing one, the scroll wheel that indicates TODAY is associated with tomorrow's day. Refer to the pic. Anyone else getting this?

I went to the app store and now it wont open any apps
tested it on fb,verbs, words with friends...

wont open... its what ever but i wanted to see the notifications on it
 
Newsstand app cannot be placed in folders :mad: It is the only app i cannot move!

Argh


Also the wallpapers section stays white - i cannot select colours :(

well, it might be coming, cuz you can go to the maps app and send locations via sms. but it doesnt seem to be working in the beta. it looked like it was clickable while it was sending but when it sent it wasnt.
 
How about voice to text for SMS?

One of the features mentioned (a bullet on one of the slides) was "option to speak text selection."

Can you let us know if there appears to be any way to do a voice to text in the SMS app? This would be a huge timesaver if you needed to send a quick SMS to someone while in the car, but stopped at a light.

Hi,

For some reason, when in calendar and I hit the + to create a new event for that day, it brings me back to the home screen. Anyone else seeing this and if so, is there a way to fix it? I re-installed OS-5 and it's still happening.

Whenever I try to add the udid for my iphone to my dev account it keeps telling me that "the device already is registered" but it not showing up on the list of registered devices. My iPad worked like a charm to register the udid. Any ideas??
 
I can't seem to find the option to put the camera shortcut on the lockscreen. Any one else having troubles with that?

I don't have that issue. I can create new events without a problem.

I feel like that more means you select a chunk of text and the phone reads it to you that what you're describing.

Hi,

Funny thing is, it was working this morning and I didn't add or delete anything. Just tried it again and it won't let me create or even edit in the calendar, keeps bringing me back to the home screen. This isn't good, sure hope their is a fix soon. Re-installed twice now, with no luck.

Has anyone found a way to delete photos from the photo stream? It doesn't appear to be possible from what I've found.

You mean the banner notifications on the lockscreen? You can set that in settings under notifications. You can't pull down Notifications Center while you're locked, btw.

You have to doubletap the home button while locked to bring up the camera shortcut.
