Just touched a 5C. This should have been the more expensive model imho.

I'm pretty sure that anyone who's buying an iPhone will be grateful for any type of update they put in it. There's nothing wrong with skipping out on the 5s, and using the 5c until the new iPhone comes out.

Like we always said, the 5C feels like you're getting something fresh.

We already knew that it had better battery life, we already knew that the added extra LTE bands, and we already knew that the build quality was better, and it's colorful to boot. It was worth the price to me.

You have to be a technology geek to be lured in by a 64-bit chip.

It's just philosophy. They could've put the A7 in the 5c too but why. You really can't use it.

I, like a lot of people, are curious to know what the A7 can actually do. No one knows.

I use my 5s every day, the A7 does what it's supposed to do. It's an ARM processor. I'm not sure where there is any confusion about this.

I think the point s/he was trying to make was a rebuttal to another poster who claimed the finger print reader was "shoehorned in" and "unnecessary" because it was only put into the 5S and not the 5C as well.

It's a possibility. I have no idea what macigo is trying to say. If you notice, what I quoted is a totally different comment than what is now in the post. This person has a habit of writing something, and then going back later and completely re-writing it.

It is a matter of philosophy. 5s owners will say "you should've gotten the 5s because it has better technology but we're just going to sit on it and see what it can actually do."

The 5C owners are saying "well we have an A6 that's proven technology and would rather use that."

Don't discredit the A6 which was released this year, and call it old technology when most people are still using the A6 that's what the bulk of apps are currently for and will continue to be for sometime.

This isn't "us" vs. "them." They're all good phones. I'm not sure why this is even an argument.

With the pace that things tend to move in the smartphone market, a year old processor IS "old technology." If that offends you for some reason, I don't know what to say.

*edit* and the A6 was released last year, with the iPhone 5, not this year like you claim in your post.

Oh yeah of course the A6 was released last year but re-released in the iPhone 5c this year.

What in the world is wrong with things being a little cheaper? Why does cheaper always have to equate to lower value to some people?

Do you not get the point that it's the options and variety that Apple wanted to provide? That people like me who own a Note III, might actually look at their products if they give that variation?

We don't all care about the latest of technology. Especially not if it's of no importance or use to us. Newer doesn't always mean better.

That not everyone is going to fit into that neat little box of "Fad hype". I'm sorry for anyone who bashes another for their choice.
If you like your 5s enjoy it, I'm enjoying my 5c. That's all there is to say. Get over it.

Nothing at all. It's just the whole premise of this thread is that the 5c should have been the more expensive phone. This is a ridiculous view to take because any reasonable person can agree that the 5c is just a repackaged iPhone 5. There's nothing wrong with that, but see it for what it is.

I didn't think it should of been more honestly. I just don't think it's made cheaply though either. I do see it for what it is.

I never claimed it was cheaply made either. I merely claimed that it's last year's technology. And it is.

Who cares. We've been on retina display 4 inch screens for a couple years now. I mean even Wi-Fi ac is nice but you don't see everyone going out to buy them when they can't be utilized yet.

People care because they want current hardware. You keep saying that the hardware isn't being utilized, but it is, just not by you.

Whoever does make use of it, good for them. It's still a fact that the majority of apps do not make use of the hardware yet. Yes, in the long run the 5s will become more obvious in the race but right now a good percentage of people don't see it.

yeah by like, 50 mah.:rolleyes::rolleyes: you just want to believe the 5C is better spec-wise when its just exactly the same as the 5.

just buy what you want, dont go around rationalizing your purchase, and making the 5C seem better than what it actually is; a plain old i5 in another chassis.

It couldn't be an iPhone 5 wrapped in plastic. Because the iPhone 5 didn't have better LTE, a better battery and that entire outer shell.

That being said, I do have the 5C and the 5S. The 5C make a bold statement, though it's plastic it has a lot to offer and I kind of like that.

The iPhone 5c is a lot more different from the 5 than the 5s is. Most of it is in the build quality.

I have the 5s and the 5c right here.

The 5c is alot more slick, feels more premium and it does have those minor improvements- that's why people like it.

Would you pay an extra $100 for the A7, maybe, but who really cares when you're planning to upgrade in September.

I personally wouldn't actually pay the extra money when the 5c is out. The A7 isn't really proven technology. So that purchase could wait.

What it really comes down to is if you like plastic or not. If you do not like plastic, you might still like it because this phone is an exception.

If not then you might want to think about getting the 5s.

"That's how you can tell I took the photo from a MacBook. Do you have a MacBook? It will be backwards. Try it for yourself."
I would, but I don't have any cheap chinese knock-off iPhones laying around. . .
________

Just messing with you...

On topic:
Each iPhone has distinctive advantages.

I'll tell you what though: I'd throw logic and reason right out the window if the 5C came in a navy blue with a white face.
That's when emotion comes into play!

If nothing else, anyone who did get the 5S or any other iPhone should get the 5c as a backup it's perfect for that.
