Me too, I just had that conversation with a few people.
Strange to make a lower resolution LCD model larger than the standard X. Tbh not sure how much I trust KGI anymore.
I love how $649-$749 is now considered "low-end & midrange"
Yeah, that's crazy. None of these would suit my needs or budget. Smaller size with a $599 price tag, MAYBE. Otherwise, I'll stick to older/cheaper iPhones.
Meh.
Buy X. Sell it. Buy X Plus.

Best phone I have ever owned.
Will sell it next year and get the X Plus and get the best phone experience ever TODAY and for another 364 days while others wait.
I was a Plus user and I now find the size of the X perfect. By the way, I think the new ones will be called iPhone 9 and iPhone X Plus
I never understood this mentality. I am ALWAYS waiting for the next phone. I've had every iphone on launch day, now that I have my X I'm waiting for next years, aren't all of us?
Just take my money now for that Plus!!! Can't wait for 2018 release!
Tell that to the number of people that are buying the 8 Plus. They are just responding to the market's needs.
This is a joke honestly if real. The thing with the notch is that it becomes invisible on black backgrounds when watching videos because of the OLED screen which has very deep blacks, however with the lcd the notch will be visible at all times which is really bad for media consumption. Apple has gone to ****.
6.1" would have been perfect for the X.

It looks like Apple seriously wants to prevent the bottleneck they experienced this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if:
6.4” OLED = Samsung
5.8” OLED = LG
6.1” LCD = JDI and Sharp

What the heck does he mean, "target the high-end market"? Isn't Apple high-end enough as it is?
Good point. Although IMO going from a 4" Form Factor to 5" could be a deal breaker for the SE users. They tend to be extremely focused on the 4" Form. The SE still sells in huge volume and is a Cash Cow for Apple. We also see the demand for the 4.7' 8 not developing. Is it from people wanting bigger phones, or not upgrading? It's a tough call for Timmy.

what about mid-end users that don't want a 6+" screen?
It makes no sense because the shift is towards large displays, for the entire industry.
Only diehard SE users think it makes sense.
