Back on topic (sorry), my iPhone order (silver 256gb) originally scheduled for the December 7-14 delivery window has now shipped, due to arrive December 5.
I mean really. Not everyone wants a bigger screen.Face ID has been proven to not be secure - Wrong. No biometric is perfect...Samsung definitely knows this because their "facial" recognition cannot be used for SamsungPay. FaceID works for ApplePay. Only issues I've seen have been with family and no detail on how setup was done. Oh and a mask that needed the mold of the subject's face and no setup process shown...
Phone is costly to fix because of glass front and back panels - AppleCare...be careful. Many phones use glass front/back.
slow download speeds due to slower modem than used in Samsung Galaxy phones. No one notices speed difference in real world and speed is only as good as the network ability.
Many people miss the home button - No one misses home button that has used the X. Home button feels ancient now and i can never go back.
Galaxy S9 will have an even faster modem and a Headphone jack too. - Faster modems mean nothing if current networks can't take advantage.
Screen not big enough for the huge profit apple is making. Should have been 6.2 inches or bigger. Will have an X plus next year. This is a great form factor with a big screen and smaller body.
Those who buy this phone are suckers as next years phone will be bigger and download speeds much faster. Technology is always evolving.
Well, that was easy.
Hedge funds moved in over the last week, driving the value up to around $10,000 each.Bitcoin is an investment?

That would be my dream iPhone, hope it happens next year.I'd actually prefer the X formfactor with the 8 screensize making it close to a 5S footprint overall. Sadly, that's not gonna happen, because someone at Apple thinks "bigger is always better"

Its not really a big issues when you are actually holding the phone watching media. Ive said it over and over the notch blends in. Its easy to post a photo of a video at a spot where the notch is most noticeable and say eww what an ugly notch.
But in real life usage it blends in, well to me anyway.
Confusing tjread. Not sure if we are discussing investments or iPhone X.Whatever the cause, it's pure speculation. Bitcoin has no intrinsic value whatsoever. Anyone who treats it as an investment is being badly misled.

Looks great, love how it goes to all four corners.
lol- "notch blends in", "actually holding" - so it's only an issue if you aren't holding it?
[doublepost=1511820166][/doublepost]I hope they add the notch to their laptops, and I hope the notch is even taller on future phones.
It's iconic and blends in. Just look behind it for the content it's hiding. Simple.
It's a deflationary, decentralized currency that can be sent instantly - that's valuable to many.
Anybody who bought Bitcoin earlier this year as an investment have made 9x their money in a very liquid asset. I'd like to be misled like that. Oh...wait I was.

South Korean banks as well

Huh - you just contradicted yourself when attempting to counter this other user. If 'no biometric is perfect' - how can you argue against FaceID not being secure?
"No one" - you speak for everyone? I definitely notice speeds. I tether often.
Again. "No one" - you speak for everyone?
Current ones can. Also - what about future networks? Geez - this is why technologists think of the future, not Apple fanbois apparently...
You should learn to quote.

I love how it rounds out the content in the corners as well. Just like filmmakers intended.
Considering big you tubers like unbox therapy are saying it’s too expensive, I’d also like to say I and many of my friends have not bought iPhone X due to its price. This is the first year in memory that no one I know has got one, not a single person. I suspect Apple will see very poor sales this year. The initial bump of must haves has gone and we’re into the meat of the market that is clearly saying it’s over priced.
Guys , all the iPhone X are gone besides California at 9PM ET. Only 6PM in Cali so those will be gone too by EOB.
Demand is strong, at least at Apple stores.
It's a meaningless metric. There are 269 Apple stores in the US. Plus or minus. We don't know how many iPhones are received in each store each day. As such, trying to deduce anything about demand from "stores are sold out" is silly. What you use to determine that ?
on eBay, I've seen 256 GB go for under $1000
You're already in hell. Scammed into buying sht you don't actually need and being smug and happy about it thinking you're ****ing someone over while you're the one getting ****ed lmao.
Because people are not buying them preciously because of their opinion of the X; you don't get to hold an entitled opinion just because you chose to part with money.
As critical as I am about the iPhone X and Apple as of the last few years, I have never once stated the iPhone X is a bad phone. It is a nice phone. Just not where it should be, and especially not for that price. I still stand by one of my earlier statements that I feel that this isn't the phone that Apple wanted to release. This thing screams incomplete, rushed, unfinished, and Beta device to me.I know plenty of people who jumped on the X. Three out of five of the people in my house did, as well as a good many of my friends and coworkers.
If you think the phone has nothing new but Face ID, I guess I see why you didn’t bother with it, but there’s plenty of literature out there along with specs, so I’m having a hard time believing you read any of it. Sounds like you’re complaining about the cost, not the phone itself.
My iPhone is now being rescheduled for delivery, according to UPS. Apple is quoting next Tuesday for delivery.
