AFAIK the GSM versions (T-Mobile/ATT) are inferior than the CDMA Verizon and Sprint versions since those support more bands and are overall better world phones. That's why I bought an unlocked Verizon 7 Plus with the Qualcomm modem instead of the Intel one. I haven't bothered to look at the specs of both X versions but I assume nothing really has changed since last year. I may be wrong and the GSM Xs have Qualcomm modems?
The CDMA and GSM versions sold in the US support the same bands outside the US. The AT&T/T-Mobile version is the same as the one sold in Europe and uses an Intel modem.

wonder when he got a full time job at Apple PR :p it's interesting how he is doing almost weekly updates now ...

I wonder without I-scratched-my-backside-and-you-report-it Ming if Mac Rumors would have anything to put online?

Accurate. I work in wireless and I travel to different stores daily and we have plenty of iPhone X in stock. We actually have 14 in stock right now and I am having trouble trying to sell them.
Where do you work? All Dallas Apple Retail and all ATT retail are currently sold out.

Yes, but what do you expect them to say? Seriously....

What do I expect an independent analyst to say?

He is the one who made everyone thought that we couldn't get the iPhone before 2018. What a revisionist.

He is saying Apple will make 10 million more phones in December than people originally believed. That is a substantial difference.

It is amazing, how many angry trolls are able to feel such strong negative emotion about something that's only positive.

If you're not buying one, I don't see why your opinion matters.

People have strong brand affinity. It's pretty normal. I don't mind people expressing their opinions as such (so long as they are clear about them BEING opinions).

There are plenty of trolls, but not all people with criticisms are trolls.

I’ve owned every phone since the original said from the 3G. I can tell you now, I like the X a lot.
The X is the closest Apple has come to capturing the buzz and awe of the ‘07 iPhone. And unlike the original, the X lands amidst a sea of legit competition - which makes it even more impressive.

The polarization of this device is interesting. Definitely a reflection of the times: where people are either the extreme of one end of the spectrum or the polar opposite extreme. Somehow we’ve managed to riddle the vast majority of those somewhere between those two extremes, irrelevant. Nice work, humans. :(

That's actually a very astute observation. Perhaps it's not all bad if people have fervor about something? Poverty or child hunger or global AIDS would have been better causes, but hey, if phones are what get you going, who am I to argue?

So those people could just save $300 and get an 8 as the video would be about the same size.

If you don't understand the differences between an 8 and a 10 other than the notch, you really have issues.

Seriously, if it weren't for threads - and front page news - I wouldn't have even realized people actually have a problem with the "notch". It's a prime example of how people make issues out of non-issues.

I don't have a X, yet, and I couldn't care less about the notch. I never would have spent even a single thought about it if it hadn't been constantly pointed out to me in such a pushy way

I guess I consider myself fortunate. I decided to enroll in the Apple Upgrade Program, they had it at my local store and I went and picked it up 30 minutes later. I like it. Easiest "upgrade" experience I've had to date.

Soon, Apple retail stores should have more of these in stock for walk in customers and soon sim-free version that I'm currently waiting on.
Some of us would be happy if Apple didn't make us wait until early next year for the sim-free version of the X. But, it's looking more favorable for the just walk in and walk out with an X scenario.

What a rat race... When you step outside of it for just a moment, it seems so ridiculous that we’re talking about pushing a bunch a components together at an ever-increasing rate just to have that made obsolete, which starts the cycle over again. Meanwhile, yes, some people are working ridiculous hours to make it possible. Man, life is so weird - or at least the version we’ve made for ourselves.

Maybe someday things will improve and our smartphones will actually be a smart decision/process because what we have now is ultimately unsustainable.

Great to see iPhone X are already going for less than retail on EBay.... I don't think it's ever happened this soon after a launch...Also great to see other people like myself voted with their wallet this gen and refused to pay that much... just nothing to get really exited about...just think how many they could have sold if the features were there for the price... oh well maybe next year Apple...here's to hoping you step up your game!

Hey, if it’s not phones, it’s:
- cars
- cpus
- fishing techniques
- cameras, lenses

Pick your internet thing to argue about

Ming Chi-Kuo of KGI needs to analyze the return rate of iPhone X’s that were sent back to carriers and Apple because people we’re not able to sell them on various outlets such as eBay. I’m sure that is a factor for improved shipping times as well.

How do I know? I’m guilty and returned 2 within the 14 day return period lol

Yeah it's nice to see them going for under retail already on there...just shows that not a whole lot of people are willing to pay over 1K for a phone that doesn't do much more than previous versions... but I wonder if the sellers will actually ship them, no seller likes a loss

Yep, let’s call it a failure because you misreported what’s going on at eBay. I just checked eBay and exactly 0 new iPhone X are “going for” less than retail unless they are used....even then, very few and almost retail for a used phone.

You are fake news and decided to support your wrong narrative with yet more misinformation. The iPhone X is selling like hot cakes. Every Apple store in America and most around the world are sold out after receiving new stock daily.

Turns out, millions of people are paying $1000+ for this innovative phone with facial recognition, the best still camera, the best OS, the best silicon, dual OIS and an incredibly beautiful design with the best screen available on a smartphone.
