What's worse, the website is already pumping up its numbers by posting pictures of deliberately bent phones in Apple stores, not excluding them for people who genuinely own the phones and had them break through normal use, or even by sitting. We get it: you can deliberately break something.

Even so, the number stands at 23 as of this writing. I too, would've expected hundreds by now.

Only 23 with store phones and intentionally bent phones? That is just sad :(

If this is the only smart phone on the market which can bent by a 6 year old bare hands then Apple has an optics/image problem.

First off, we don't know that a 6 year old can bend it. So far no videos have been made by 6 year olds bending their iPhones. Whether or not the people deliberately bending $1,000 gadgets have the mentality of a 6 year old is the subject of a whole different debate.

That said, it's nothing new for a 6 year old to break a phone. Theres a lot of things young kids have ruined, in pretty creative ways. There's even a whole site dedicated to this.

The perception in this case just happens to be amplified because:

1. OMG APPLE
2. Making Youtube videos where you bend an iPhone is the in thing right now.

apple needs to just come out and say yes the phone will bend and yes its normal and is an ergonomic feature of the iphone ie it conforms to your body over time. apple fans would be fine with this and boom problem solved.

No, I've been reading your posts.

Criminals are criminals. That's what these two kids are.

and replying with something completely different to what I'm discussing , even when I'm speaking to someone else. gee thanks for the conversation

Ever read, and I mean honestly read, the comments on this issue? People bring up the antenna thing, people bring up every instance of every "gate" issue and act like these issues have only affected the iPhone.

They had a difficult time bending them yet the bendguy was able to bend the 6+ as easily as a piece of red hot iron. What gives?

hes had practice and knows the weak point. Plus they were nervous doing it in store, fear of being caught? yes I know the irony of that last sentence :D:p

well done kid. Respect for finally realising your mistake. Next time if you can't be good, don't get caught ;) :)

and when I posted about the only thing these guys would believe is unbocx therapy walking into an applestore and bending one I was being sarcastic ;):) as I like you believe he's really bending them.

and called it he was 15

ps... make sure you monitise your apology video so you can pay for the fine ;)

pps... you said you disabled the ratings. I up voted you. It takes a man to admit his mistakes. Good on you. Keep smiling and don't let it effect your life. Head held high ;)

Credit to the kid for apologising and taking full responsibility. I think 310 quid each and a lifetime ban from that Apple Store would be a good punishment. I think it would be harsh to give them criminal records as this does appear to be a silly ill thought out mistake. They should pay for what they did of course, I just hope this turns out to be a valuable life lesson.

they'll only get the criminal record if apple prosecute. I don't think the police can bring any charges if apple says no. What is the charge? criminal damage? not if apple says its ok. Its not public property. They could get lucky.

Yeah they could get lucky. As the day has gone on and I've heard the apology I hope they don't get prosecuted. There should be a consequence though it every kid with a silly idea will try something as stupid.

How can these kids get in trouble when all these iPhone bend videos are fake?

What? Is that a real question or are you fishing?
