The iPad Pro is already getting mini-LED. You can't more expensive with currently available tech. These 10.8" and 9" devices are most likely low-cost.

Right, that was the speculation I based my comment on, even if it's very likely. I guess my point was the next gen "regular" models will fill in upmarket (as the current Pro lines moves even further in that direction).

Please Apple...give this new iPad Mini the flat edged design of the iPad Pros and make it compatible with the Apple Pencil 2. That’s all I ask. You don’t have to call it the mini pro. But just do this one thing, and we cool. Lol.

Yeah, that's what I saw saying above, let this new generation be as good as the current (as in, you can buy today) iProPro line, at least in terms of display, P2, maybe cameras (I guess LIDAR tech could remain a "Pro" feature ...)

I think these will replace the iPad Air 3 and the iPad mini 5. These will not be entry level models.

I suspect the entry level iPad will get A12, but will keep a non-laminated screen and may stay at 10.2" with traditional Touch ID.

I have a feeling they’ll be “space gray” or silver. I don’t think people would want bright white glasses on their face Lol.

Same way people look “silly” with AirPods (which are now cool) will be the same with the glasses I’m sure.
You see white airpods and you know what they are and who made them. White plastic is nasty in my opinion but Apple stick with it for recognition I think.

But Kuo states these will be “affordable” models following the iPhone SE strategy, which really means the cheapest models in the lineup.

I do agree the iPad mini 5 is one of the two models here, but I don’t think the second model is the new Air.

Agreed, this is the rumored (and regularly scheduled) iPad 2020 with A12.

The Air is expected to go up to 11-inches, so this 10.8-inch model fits with the low-cost pattern.

This sounds great. I’m currently rocking an iPad Mini 4 with an awful battery so looking for a replacement soon. I’m getting a MacBook Pro in the summer so can hold off for a bit but the bigger Mini or even a bezel free 10.8” would be excellent

iPhone SE strategy sounds good to me! I'm still amazed they kept the iPhone 7 processor in last year's "new" iPad.

After reading a comment about how much cheaper it is to replace a non-laminated screen and how important that is for education purchases, I've stopped crusading for that feature. But for the love of God, it's time to stop segmenting quad speakers for just the iPad Pro line. How is it that we're still listening to basically mono sound while watching videos in landscape mode in 2020 for any iPad less than $799?

The 10.5” iPad had a 1 ye run and was gutted. Why on earth would Apple create a 10.8” iPad (note that they support Pencil 1) when it’s just under .2” smaller than the 11” Pro?!!??

Next year it will be 2023 at the earliest as a release date. And in 2022, it will be pushed to 2024 and so on.

Damn would that be a nice device. I'd love something like that to complement my 12.9" Pro.

Sorry but I don’t see “affordable price points” and “iPhone SE strategy” pointing to redesigned all screen design iPads. I think these will iPads will keep Touch ID.

Yeah - seems like this might be updated iPad Air and mini, moving to more of an all screen design but not the actual Pro design. Maybe it lines up with Touch ID under the display?

I feel like with glasses they don’t need to be white to be recognized as an Apple product. I think the design will speak for itself.
