Numbers don’t lie.

Apple ‌iPhone 12‌ (5.4-inch) – A2471 – 2,227mAh
Apple ‌iPhone 12‌ Max (6.1-inch) – A2431 – 2,775mAh
Apple ‌iPhone 12‌ Pro (6.1-inch) – A2431 – 2,775mAh
Apple ‌iPhone 12‌ Pro Max (6.7-inch) – A2466 – 3,687mAh

The A14 chip is rumoured to be a 5nm chip. That would mean a more power efficient chip hence the smaller battery requirement while maintaining the same level of battery life as the current range.

I believe that’s coming from an authentic source

And I believe you're still confusing battery "pouch" and battery "board". This article talks nothing about the battery "pouch" which you're complaining about. It's talking about the "board".

It's great that you think it's an authentic source, but the mystery is solved. Your misunderstanding was that you were thinking about the battery "pouch" the entire time. It sounds like you don't want admit this so I'm going to end it here.

Still not understanding what ur saying? All of a sudden ur a battery expert. Don’t worry, I’ll end it here for you.

Are any consumers actually excited about 5G? Seems like the only people who care are cellular network executives. I love to have the latest tech, but have zero desire for a 5G phone and am really sick of hearing about it. Hopefully this ridiculous race to 5G won’t compromise the rest of the iPhone.

2g to 3g was a tangible difference. Ability to take calls and use data at the same time

faux g
HSPA was faster than 3g

LTE faster than faux g

but network congestion is a bigger problem than theoretical speed limits at this point

it seems a rather inorganic push

what on earth are people doing on their phones that necessitates the “strong demand” for 5G?

Kuo: Apple Looking to Save on Costs in iPhone 12 With Simpler Battery Board Design
Read it again. Nowhere does it mention this has anything to do with a worse battery cell or a worse performing battery as a whole. It just says there will be a simplification in board design, which is a completely normal and expected cost saving process that is done whenever a new technology or manufacturing process is mature enough to be implemented.

For those who are confused about what Kuo is talking about.

He's referring to the charge controller board on the end of the battery pack. He's not talking about the cell.

What does making it a “soft board” mean? Control of battery charging is handled mostly in software, the SOC Or a physically softer board? If the option listed, why does that lower costs, and does it affect performance?

I know about that, I'm engineeer and coder (but that's irrelevant at this point :p )

My main questions are:

1. Will you be able to use it in the next 1-2 year?
2. Will you actually benefit from using 5g network on your phone?

I'm living in Europe and there are tests in my city, but it's still 1-2 years till we will be able to use it and benefit from it.

and the most important thing - if implementing 5g requires from companies like Apple either any compromises or rise the price - they should postpone 5g.

Many devices like iPhone or android with 5g on the market right now will probably never benefit from 5g.
