Good luck with that, putting active electronics on someone's eyeballs.

These already exist and are in progress.... The image above is from Mojo in fact.

Wireless power and compute off contact.

I think the problem with contact lenses is a lot of people can’t wear them for one reason or the other . It’s nice sure but I don’t know how big the audience is.

By 2060 Apple wil have successfully cloned Steve Jobs and these clones will replace every single CEO in the world, it will result in a 'dent in the universe singularity' where the whole solarsystem get's blown up just to make a dent in spacetime.

Does anyone really have any realistic idea on how a battery and a screen can fit into a contact lens while also remaining cheap enough to be disposable on a monthly/weekly basis? Or how exactly something right on the surface of your eye would be able to generate light that appears to be coming from further away (beam forming on a photon level) so you can actually see it?

I mean it's cool to say cool things but is there anything to back this up realistically whatsoever? Why not just say they're working on a time machine that can fit into your pocket? Or a teleportation device the size of a matchbox, powered by body heat?

These guys can barely predict what Apple is gonna do next quarter. Now they're predicting what Apple is gonna do in TEN years???
no technology company has PRODUCT plans that go out beyond 5-7 years, and 7 years is a stretch ... they do have technology roadmaps but they do know that technology is not predictable that far out ...
So Kuo and the such are not doing themselves a favor, they're going to lose credibility with such utter nonsense ...

Does anyone? Yes someone. In fact many people. We call them scientists and engineers. Similar products are being worked on by several companies around the world mostly from medical use. Are they coming in 2030? Highly unlikely. By the end of the 2030s? Let’s say 2037-38.....very likely. 17 years. Compare tech from 2021 to 2004.

I seriously doubt Apple is even considering this but medical device companies certainly are.

Any rumors past 2022 shouldn't even be posted. "Apple might release an alien leash in the 5th dimension in 2023." What a stupid rumor.

And what’s the bet that the notch will still remain on iPhone in the 2030’s... 😅🤣

In a research note shared with MacRumors, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo today predicted that Apple will release augmented reality "contact lenses" in the 2030s. Kuo said the lenses will bring electronics from the era of "visible computing" to "invisible computing."

Kuo said the lenses are "unlikely to have independent computing power and storage," suggesting that they might rely on a connection to an iPhone or other device, but he did not offer any further details. Kuo said there is "no visibility" for this product currently, so this sounds more like a moonshot prediction rather than a guaranteed product.

Apple's contact lenses could provide a lightweight augmented reality experience without the need to wear glasses or a headset. In simple terms, augmented reality overlays digital information over a real-world view; for example, a person walking in an outdoor shopping plaza could easily view each store's hours of operation.

In the more immediate future, Kuo said Apple plans to release its long-rumored mixed reality headset "in mid-2022," followed by augmented reality glasses by 2025. For more details about these products, read our earlier coverage.

Question is.

Will you see a notch?

Does anyone know how these things can focus so close to your eye so that you can see the overlays and things in the distance you’re focusing on at the same time?
