The 13 was good but the 14 and 15 since have been TRASH, real trash to the point people were fuming how fast the battery was degrading on the 14 pro on this very forum.

I don't have high hopes for the 16 because Apple are now a company that cuts so many corners to make a profit.
Perhaps you should buy another type of smartphone, or at least try the Pro iPhone versions. I have used iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro Max and they have both been superb for heavy pro-level camera usage; no trash.

This is seriously just stupid at this point. Sure, the phones will get better, great. For 98% of the user base, CPU improvements won't make a bit of difference.

As far as Kuo's predictions at this point, he's just looking for attention. The 16 series first comes out tomorrow and he's already talking about two years down the line.

Also, people looking for some incredible, absolutely revolutionary new hardware in the phones, forget it. The last big jump was from the X to the 11 Pro series. Since then the improvements have been really good, but mostly evolutionary and not revolutionary.

For me, I think the next big leap in mobile phones isn't going to be in the phone and its uses, but battery technology. Start putting solid state batteries in these things that can go days without a charge, that will be awesome.

There's a reason Apple likes to compare a new phone not as much to the previous version, but often one two or three years old- because that that's the customer base they are really after to upgrade.
Looking for attention? The guys job is to report on supply chains for investors lol

iPhones are fast enough for anything I do. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and still plenty happy with the performance.

I’m more interested in increased RAM, as memory requirements seem more likely than processor speed, efficiency, or GPU performance to limit future iOS support.

Granted, this is purely speculation on my part.

beware - there will always be progress - that's an intrinsic factor in technology.

BUT there are times when that progress makes quantum leaps like with the M4 in the iPad PRO 2024 or the A12X in the iPad PRO 2018 or the M1 MAX in the MacBook Pro or the S10 in the Apple Watch 10 ...

It is important to understand these leaps in technology for doing an educated decision when buying technology relevant things.

Just completed the Geekbench AI tests on my M4 iPP and the leap in Software from iPadOS 17.6.1 to 18.0 is very impressive - we'll probably see that kind of progress not only in HW but also in future SW while Apple is ironing out the routines to address ML in the new devices.

Here're my results for the M4 ( which is kind of the first generation of the new chips found in future devices )

We can expect not only SW but also HW to improve significantly with the 2 nm process and that will be definitely my next iPhone.

Apple has just begun to optimize SW and HW for ML and with the next generation of iPhone SoCs the leap will be very significant again - probably the biggest leap in efficiency for a long time

edit: The A18 in the current new iPhone shares the NE with the M4 and the new NE will just get better
Very nice results, well presented!
Now can you run these again with GB AI 1.1? There seem to be a substantial number of changes in 1.1 to better use what the OS provides (not just on Apple, but also Windows and Android); probably based on feedback from developers in each camp.

Maybe we should all find our OLDEST working Apple device to post from just so we can say "bah humbug" to all this new fangled unnecessary technology advances ;)

Didn't you just predict this a couple days ago? Good call.

6% speed gain
https://www.macotakara.jp/Watch/entry-47625.html for S10 vs S9 - we will surely get more tests in the coming weeks
Literally your own source : "so they have the same performance."

41,4 vs 39 is not the same
1.05 times specially on an outdated unoptimized browser watch test is well within margin of error as confirmed by your own source. S10 is S9 in heart as Apple never claimed any sort of performance increase. hardware wise, since S4 we have only had two new chips (S6 and S9), no amount of coping behind emojis would change this fact.

Rather than concentrating on the chip, I wish Apple would concentrate on eliminating the camera bump.

What do you get when you divide 41,4 with 39 ?

just reading text may be misleading
