I assume we're talking 15" MBA here or are they bringing back MacBooks?
Foolish considering the "notch" is not cutting into content. The screen actually got larger and the menu bar moved up into the bezel. So MacBooks with a "notch" have more visible, usable, unobstructed screen space than those without one. Whoops.Buying if there are no notch.
I would tend to agree, but Apple marketing has made a few "doesn't mane sense" moves lately, including M-series chips (doesn't M stand for Mac?) in iPads, and overuse of "Pro."If this is the MacBook Air or MacBook (not MacBook Pro), then it doesn’t make any sense to offer a Pro cpu SKU. I’m sure they’ll distinguish MacBook Pro’s by offering Pro/Max options but not normal consumer devices.
Let's assume it's a MacBook not MBA.I assume we're talking 15" MBA here or are they bringing back MacBooks? Regardless, can I preorder now? Thanks.
Then it wouldn't be an Air sitting at 3+ lbs.a more affordable MacBook Pro. a M2 Pro on a new MacBook Air 15" has total sense, and it is a much better computer that 2018 and 2020 MacBook Pro was
Apple is planning a new 15-inch MacBook model that could launch around the second quarter of 2023 or later...
That's what I am wondering. Without a fan, wouldn't it be handicapped in its ability? Is there any chance they could run an M2 Pro without a fan?
Wouldn't you need (want?) active cooling, which the MacBook Air doesn't have, to get the M2 Pro chip to run at its full potential? If the M2 Pro cannot run at full power, then there's no point in having it in a MBA.a more affordable MacBook Pro. a M2 Pro on a new MacBook Air 15" has total sense, and it is a much better computer that 2018 and 2020 MacBook Pro was
For a year. Then it would be old news.If they just gave this mini-LED it would be an absolutely perfect laptop.
That’s a fair point! So that it can support 2 external displays
PLEASE Apple don’t make the Mac lineup as confusing as the iPad lineup!
It's quite perplexing to say the least. How do people assume a 3lbs 15-inch notebook would be branded MacBook Air?
This is forecast for a year from now. There will be M2 Pro chips by then.So we will presumably have a 13", 14", 15" and 16" MacBook Pro?
Worse would be if we had 13" & 15" with M2 and the 14" and 16" only be available with M1.
