Why did you order from Alibaba instead of ClickClack?
It was the delivery times mainly – ClickClack's was much longer, Alibaba took 4 days from China to UK. I also thought the total cost would be slightly cheaper but it ended up being the same due to duties and tax. Also, it seems as if the Alibaba store is the official Kuycon store but I have no proof of that other than the seller being listed as Guangdong Kuyouke Display Technology Co., Ltd and marked as verified.

Do you have the link that you ordered from, and did you pay with Paypal or credit card?

This is the link to the item/seller I used: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/KUYCON-G32P-32Inch-6K-60Hz-6144_1601481978355.html

Before purchase I started a chat with the seller via the button on that page to ask about shipping costs to the UK, to confirm the display included the stand and that they could supply with a UK power lead. They were resposnive and immediately offered me free shipping. But that shipping did not include duties and tax which had to be paid on arrival in the UK.

I paid via PayPal just to try and add as many layers of protection as possible.

My replacement monitor arrived today. It took 4 days to arrive from Kuycon. All looks great and working well. I have found the whole import tax situation confusing. I was charged £84 tax before I could receive the replacement. I had assumed replacements for existing items that are being returned wouldn't be charged. I'm awaiting a response from FedEx to clarify.
I’m curious about the replacement box — did it have all the cables/accessories or was it just the monitor? Have they been in touch about sending the first one back?

We have a WikiPost with links for 32" 6K displays. Taobao (China’s Amazon) is another legitimate option to Australia.

They sent just the monitor. The faulty one has been sent back (today) in the packaging the replacement arrived in. They paid for the postage of the replacement from China to UK. As I mention previously, I was charged duties and tax when the replacement arrived but I have challenged this and am waiting for a response. I have paid for the shipping of the faulty monitor back to China but I'm also looking to ask for this cost to be refunded.

Thanks, will check it out. Looks like I need to get an Alibaba account.. not signed up before as was unfamiliar with this site, and it being one in China etc..

Did you pay in USD or UK Pounds (converted from USD). Also how much was shipping? Buyers in the US are reporting a USD $180 shipping charge from China

The UK has 20% VAT charge. So on a USD $1,699 display = GBP £1,250, with VAT around £250. I'm guessing they declared a lower figure on the declaration documents

What’s the verdict? Is it better than your Apple 27” studio display (can’t remember if you have one). They are throughly the same price

The question is: for the same money which would you choose if you could only have one. The ASD 27” 5K or the Kuycon 32” 6K ?
Verdict is a big thumbs up. I do have the Studio Display and actually have them side-by-side now. I can't tell any difference in quality between the two. I think the Kuycon has better anti-reflective properties but appears just as glossy to me.

You do lose the camera, speakers, and the USB hub is 2 instead of 3. Which would I choose? Definitely the Kuycon. I'm finding the 6K space is even more than I anticipated. I use a bunch of IDE's and they have so many panels these days my screen was rather cramped on the 5K. Big improvement now.

Sometimes third-party monitors have issues with a Mac like not waking up as quickly, or not being able to use the keyboard buttons, or things like Night Shift not working. These all have worked fine -- it feels like an Apple Monitor to me.

Just ordered two from Kuycon on Alibaba. Following suggestion from @Geneman14 Spoke to them on chat and got shipping for free.

Can't wait for them to arrive now and replace my 2 30" ACDs.
Congrats! Are you in the U.S. by any chance? I'm curious what experience people have ordering it from Alibaba to the U.S., like how long shipping is and total cost with tariffs...

Not the person you asked the question to, but I am in the US. I tried initially to order via Alibaba but when I get to the checkout screen, I was being hit with about 40% import tarrifs. It's odd and the Kuycon chat rep couldn't figure out why. He recommended I check with ClickClack (as their authorized US dealer). So I ended up ordering via clickclack which is supposed to be without any import duties.

Sounds like a Win-Win!! ;)

Coming from a bunch of 30" ACDs the Apple 27" Studio display is too small, so this Kuycon 32" feels much safer, and the screen real-estate is a must have for productivity etc.. Don't care about a built-in camera, have that on my MBP 16"

Any issues usually can be worked around with 3rd party apps.

Thanks to you and Geneman14 for the great feedback, sure is a more viable option to get a 6K display. The LG 6K if it materialises will likely be a lot more than the Kuycon

https://kuycon.us/ – is this a fake site?

Three questions:

1. Is the Kuycon color accurate (or close to it) for photo and video /reference work?

2. Is the USB-C port on the back of the Kuycon a true Thunderbolt 5 port? (the first one)

3. If you have 2 or three of these, do you connect them via the back of the display ports to daisy chain (which ports). Or from your Mac's ports?

When it’s cheaper from clickclack.io why would you buy there anyway?

I believe this has been flagged as fake.
Yes, it's fake in the sense that it is definitely *not* operated by Kuycon.

My best guess, based on an indirect admission made in a conversation with a Reddit moderator, is that the people operating it are the authorized resellers for Kuycon in Russia, see: kuycon.ru (site established in 2022) -- someone has taken that site and created "Kuycon Europe" at kuycon.co and "Kuycon US" at kuycon.us -- they ("Charly from Kuycon Europe") started a thread on Reddit r/HiDPI_monitors -- their account is now suspended -- see the replies to the first post, two of which are by me.

[To be fair, it's also possible they are not run by the Russian site, and they are just a rogue vendor that used the Russian site as a template.]

To make things even more confusing, there is now a second "Kuycon Europe" site at kuycon.it that lists an Italian distributor. So they aren't completely faceless like the others. But they are a bit clueless.

There is no evidence that if you buy from any of them you won't get a genuine Kuycon display, but there's also no evidence that you will. I'd say stay away.

This monitor doesn't support Thunderbolt at all. Thus it can't be daisy chained.

The USB-C port supports UHBR20, which means 4x20Gbps = 80Gbps, and Thunderbolt 5. The DisplayPort 2.1 port also supports UHBR20. See the English User Guide.

So (correct me if I’m wrong) you should be able to daisy chain 6K with USB-C in and DP out, but the USB-C cable that comes with it is only USB4 (40Gbps) — it is not a Thunderbolt 5 (80Gbps) cable, which you’ll need.

Hello guys!
I just registered here because few days ago a got this monitor instead of my kyucon G27P. I wanted 32 6K so much...)) I plugged the monitor to mac mini m2pro with usb-c cable that came in stock with monitor. And I see following thing - when I scroll the black or blue text on white background there is some purple tint/trace following the text. On the previous monitor I didn't notice anything like this... I'm a little bit disappointed, confused and cannot understand is it normal for this screen or it is some kind of defect? Anybody else who have this monitor in use - do you see something like I describe? Should I try to replace this monitor or maybe something wrong with cable?
What do you think?
