Around 1TB total for movies, music, and TV shows. I just removed a little under 90gb's of movies yesterday when doing a bit of "spring cleaning" on my Mac.

Where are the itunes library itl and xml files stored is it on your computer or the hard drive?

I followed iLounge's article and had no issues. Have a read.

They were located on the comp and the media was located on the external, moved everything over though and its running a little quicker but still taking a few minutes to import a few songs. Thanks, i'll take a read, i'm compressing the media folder now so i can back it up on a different HD case things start going south But I may just rebuild the library.

On a similar topic if I create 2 libraries, one to hold all of my sons movies (which would free up my library a 100+ gigs) I understand that i have to choose which library to open from at start but how would that effect the AppleTV if he where to be watching a movie from the computer sharing app via the apple tv any way i can access my library to play music?

Thanks

I don't know how can I see my iTunes specs regarding media, but I have 770 songs, 2 ibooks, 30 ringtones and 1113 apps.

Sorry, I think this is all pointless unless you paid for the stuff legally. I have under 3,000 songs ALAC all from ripped CDs at about 64GB and already it's full of fat I just "collect" and don't listen to.

And how do you know it's not paid for legally?

If i have it...and i'm listening to it/watching it, it counts! Sorry bud.

Because if you paid $100,000 for all that the joke's on you.

People spend millions to buy paintings that look like they were done by semi-talented baboons, just because the artist is famous.

I spend far less on my entertainment and enjoy every minute of it.

I'm sitting at 16,568 songs which take up 85.74 GB. That should be growing at least 25% soon as I am making a push to rip the rest of the CDs I wish to keep.

I don't have much in the way of movies or TV shows.

Impressive!

I'm approaching 550GB!

Also, just discovered a new genre: Chillwave!

Amazing.

Habitus :apple:

used to have 1,847 songs but then my mac died on me and lost all my music 🙁
now i have 411 songs, starting to rebuild my library again
