Music is at around 78GB and 9,000 songs. I have been in an Anime/Movie Score mood the last year or so, so it's harder to find that stuff. A lot of it you DO have to download off the Internet, because you simply cannot buy it legally.

I also use iTunes to host to AppleTV. Wonderfull software, I don't see what people complain about. 5.4 Terabytes. All ripped by me from physical disc, I do not download movies....too risky, but more importantly I want me movies to be a very specific format and quality.

BTW, this is a screen capture from my phone, using a VNC through cellular to connect to my Mac Pro at home :)

And I thought I'd collected lots of 'media' over the last 20+ years. Note to self - must try harder ;)

Apart from the odd music video and TV episode downloaded free (iTunes 12 days of Christmas 2013 will surely add a few more!) iTunes is kept for music and a few audiobooks.

I also have a HP Microserver with 4x3TB drives running FreeNAS & Plex with 2.73TB of Films (mostly HD 720/1080p) and 1.47TB of TV Shows (mix of SD and 720p).

Hate to think how long it would take to watch/listen to it all, given I've wasted at least that much of my life :D

You guys have crazy libraries. I got around 3000 songs (70GB though, since everything is pure ALAC)

Yes there is, but once you encode the movie you can't use that. It's only for disks. Also from my experience with my SOny blue ray changer, Gracenote is not that quick to update with new releases.

But there are other databases that have all the data and I use MetaX to apply it to the encoded file.

I had a 120gb iPod which needed fixed, so I sent it away, and it came back with a stack of music back on it which I never had seen before!

Result :)

1.22TB & growing!

662GB Music
110GB Films & TV
360GB Apps

and the rest is a combination of audiobooks, books and podcasts

Just wondering how much of these massive libraries is legitimately acquired?

I've got around 150GB of stuff, but all from the 500 or so CDs, and few iTunes purchases I've made... :D

I don't keep all my movies and TV shows in iTunes so my library is around 250gb. If I kept all my videos in iTunes it would be around 1.2tb.

Largest iTunes Library

A Quick tot up shows 2.63TB. Mostly films.

Slowly getting it all ready for an apple TV.
