If you zoom in on the whitish smudge, one can clearly see that it is a unicorn, typing on a 6-core mac pro.

This seems like a national security risk on par with putting all three branches of the government under the same roof.

Regardless of the picture I am 90% certain that the next iPhone will have the iPads A4 chip inside of it. To me this just makes sense when Jobs said this will be a A+ update that no one else will have (I am paraphrasing).

Just think a minute on the iPads reported battery life because of the A4 chip and think this hit the next iPhone. I would love the talk time on that. :D

AppleInsider is the worst apple rumors site ever.

I still remember the time they claimed the death of mac mini. Several years have gone by, mac mini is still there.

In other news: Apple is rumored to be working on updates to several of its computer lines. Rumors are unclear, but seem to indicate release sometime in the next 11 months.

(Peter from Family Guy:) Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

Was this on TV?

Anyone notice that the iPad bolted to the table may have a camera?
Why else is there an opening in the metal frame used to secure it. (directly across from the home button)

That's what I though too, but that just for the light sensor. Plus I think it might have had a camera but Apple took it out just like in iPod touch to lower the cost.

nothing to see... my bet is that Apple will release a new phone in the next 4 months available for the July time-frame. I hope that OS 4 brings multitasking a la iPad in the near future. :D

English friends.. "a la" means "to the", here my neighbor missed something on the translation :p

Yeah but let's be honest, it is just above the apple tv on the neglected fatherless child list. Desktops just arent cool anymore.

That site is pretty much on track with this site. The entries are usually pretty much the same. Being wrong on that one story hardly makes them the worst Apple rumors site ever. It's not like MacRumors (or any other rumor site) has a perfect track record..... and why should they? These are rumors sites- they report on rumors. Sometimes they are accurate, sometimes not.

Now about this photo..... I see that the 4th gen WILL be able to toast my bread for me! Yay!

From the Latin "a la mode" - "ice cream TO THE top", usually referring to a pie of some sort.

Is that.........?

Looking at the frame holding down the iPad, it looks like a notch for camera lens along the top edge.

I'm Pro everything Apple and I prefer Apple only software..... But the A+ update is going to be their new chip, which has almost zero power consumption "according to steve" so expect the chip, longer battery life (7hrs for 3G 14hrs 2G), better camera optics, New User interface, a March Apple Event (as usual)... I pray we go back to aluminum, I'll be glad to pay a premium for that.

LOL, are you sure about that? You should check out the 6,000+ posts in the "Waiting for Arrandale" thread on the MBP.

I did. I don't buy the "it is the microphone" argument. It seems pretty clear that a front facing camera was at least tested at some part of the product's development.

Which, really, is no surprise.

That's the first thing i noticed last week when this pictured surfaced and I was positive that the iPad would have a camera. But that is neither here nor there (literally) and from this awful picture we can determine almost nothing of a so-called prototype iPhone. (But that doesn't stop me from wishing!)

Man alive, we knew that things would slow down after the tablet's release, but I didn't think it'd be THIS bad. :p

Not so fast...

If the new iphone has a camera, the ipad would have a camera as well. So I doubt a front camera is coming.

Hang on a minute. Everyone is so rumo(u)r / iPad overloaded that they are dismissing things usually of interest.

There are several pointers to :apple: looking at including video chat and camera in their up coming mobile devices:
- Reference to video conferencing in 3.2
- Reference to switching between front and back camera in 3.2
- Appearance of camera hole in this leaked photo and the iPad held by El Jobso, The Invincible.
- And most interesting, definite space left for a camera inside the iPad.

Now we have a leaked photo of a device still several months off release, with a suggestion of a camera (although white blotch is where the light sensor is on current models, it is very hard to see except in the brightest of conditions). How is this NOT interesting??

It is not beyond the realm of reality that in 60 days, 4.0 will be released with video chat functionality, the iPad will have a last minute up-spec to include a camera and the iPhone will fall into line come summer. Either that, or it was pulled last minute for some reason.
