Guys, there is no way this is an Apple Maps thing, I don't think it's ready yet. I wish we had more pictures but this guy only had a couple of seconds to snap these.
The image of the map clearly shows "Google" in the lower left.

The display is 1440x900. I measured it out very carefully. Given a form factor of 11-10.7inches this matches the iPhone ppi, and will mean reading on this thing will be awesome.
can anyone make out the writing in the upper left?
And i'm not talking about the no service
Sometimes these threads move too quickly for anyone to read so I will post images suggesting that this Apple Tablet unveiling reveals a tablet without a black bezel installed and utilizing the magnets found in iMac screen hardware.
So we have learnt something new here, it's so heavy it takes 3 people to carry. Interesting.. there's always a catch.![]()
it says "Directions"

It's the Maps Application, so that's the search/directions toggle. Only "Directions" is visible.

True, true I'm not saying he's totally right but he could have been messing with prototypes and not a final build. While Apple is an extremely secretive company, it is just as unusual for someone like Calacanis to just lie out of nowhere. Even with his latest ComScore statement a few Mac journalists such as Dave Hamilton (Mac Observer) agreed with him on their Twitter feed and not just Arrington.
I'm not saying he's 100% on the money but it would be a heck of a lie if it did not turn out to be the truth to some extent. I think Calacanis can be an arrogant jerk but I'd never call him a liar without proof.
[Calacanis] may be from Brooklyn but he's literal crap in my mind.

i wonder if the bezel will be that freaking huge
Am I the only one seeing a translucent screen?
The solar panels patent parallels what Jason Calacanis said on his Twitter. While I'm skeptical of the guy, this may be more than coincidence.
So you think fingerprint reader and solar pad on back then?![]()
I have no doubts this is from Apple; it definitely looks legit in that regard. But I think this just may be a controlled leak.
Do you guys think you'll be able to use this tablet as a phone?
