Well a small part of me is happy that iMacs, minis, and Mac Pros are all getting the "silent" update because perhaps that means there is hope for BIGGER announcements at the March 24th or WWDC shows... what do I want?

1. APPLE NETBOOK. Apple: It isn't about the price, it is about the SIZE! Give it to me for $799-899 and I will pay, I want a 10 inch screen and small, small size for travel.

2. Snow Leopard!

3. Home media server.

What i was saying was in response to an earlier post. I said there are no mobile quads available, and someone posted a link to a wiki page with details. And then I said, I believe the core2Quad mobiles were not made and intel opted to concentrate on i7 mobiles and go to 32nm

But the iMac doesn't have to stay mobile chips.
Dell One uses the Quad Core Q8200 but with integrated graphics the whole machine about the size of the iMac. But that is the 90w and there where 65w S Variation recently which allow for decent graphics.

Just waititng to find out which way they jump

Snow Leopard demo?

A demo? They've demo'd already. That would be a little repetitious for Apple without a release. I'm hoping they are releasing it earlier than expected to help the iMac/Mini release... and so I can have it, naturally.

How long until people start complaining about the specs?

I am!

WTF 2GHz MacMinis?! My 2 year old MBP ist faster and it is a mobile?! I just don't get why Apple doesn't see the load of people being interested to get a second mac (desktop) that already have monitors etc. but don't need a macPro monster?!?
For 500-700 bucks you can build a pretty powerful gaming PC, so leave the killer graphics card but at least give us a 3GHz CPU for the deal?!?

AltGr gives € on UK (or should do!)

Look if you want to find the different keys just open the keyboard viewer and press option or command or shift in different combinations and it will show you!!

Onto more important things, incredibly excited about the new releases I'm at college at the moment lucky i have no lessons next would not be able to concentrate :D

I have American, English and Swedish keyboards in use in my office.

It really depends on the age of the keyboard as to what the Shift-4 does.

On my new Swedish iMac:
Shift 4 = €
Alt 4 = $

new English/UK boards have the € as well instead of the GBP sign.

so I guess the UK has been phased out ... lol

On my Uk keybaord € = alt + 2

Haven't you been reading this thread ?

Nope.

But they don't have a click wheel keyboard replacement!

True.

Ill start now..

599 and 799? so thats 200 dollars for a bigger drive and more ram, which you can get yourself and upgrade for 100 dollars....

Both got the 2.0GHz, for this price, both display outputs better work simultaneously.

I wonder if they will. Either way - who here is buying one right now?

totally with you on that one... thats exactly what i want!

I better start preparing my questions for the forum. This will be my first Mac and I have no idea how they work/the OS.

PC > Mac convert in the making...

Just an FYI guys. The current (old) Mac Pro only has ONE retail offering, the dual 2.8. FOr anything else like a faster CPU or down to one CPU, you need to configure it at the store. So we can still see the 3.2GHz only through the store....
