I owe someone on this forum $10,000 imaginary/probability bucks.
It's mildly surprising to see a release of so much stuff today when Apple has a press event in 3 weeks.

+1 with that.

Seems like they should've just waited the 2-3 weeks and bundled it all together.

But maybe this is just a "baby update", and they'll be releasing something HUGE at the event?

I have American, English and Swedish keyboards in use in my office.

It really depends on the age of the keyboard as to what the Shift-4 does.

On my new Swedish iMac:
Shift 4 = €
Alt 4 = $

new English/UK boards have the € as well instead of the GBP sign.

so I guess the UK has been phased out ... lol

New announcement may well be a new keyboard, with a special key just for the $ # and € symbols.

What i was saying was in response to an earlier post. I said there are no mobile quads available, and someone posted a link to a wiki page with details. And then I said, I believe the core2Quad mobiles were not made and intel opted to concentrate on i7 mobiles and go to 32nm

The poster was right, the iMacs use mobile processors. And although there are not yet any Quad Core mobile CPUs available from Intel, Apple could put an SMP board with two Dual Core CPUs into the iMac.

Err, yes, there are a few out there.

how much was the previous mac mini? In the UK it was £399/£499

heres a screen shot before sotre went into update

Maybe quad-core iMacs.

Seriously though, if there was an event soon, I think it would be about software.
