The poster was right, the iMacs use mobile processors. And although there are not yet any Quad Core mobile CPUs available from Intel, Apple could put an SMP board with two Dual Core CPUs into the iMac.

Or they could have used 65W desktop quad cores that were designed to go in to all-in-ones and SFF systems.

It appears that Bestbuy has already activated a couple of new sku numbers for 3 new iMac computers. Curiously they are titled:

It might be that Apple is revealing something BIG in 3 weeks, or maybe releasing Snow Leopard earlier than expected, or they unveiling some new version of the Pro floor model at that time??

I'm not sure what they could be doing in late March if they release Mini/iMacs today.

599 and 799? so thats 200 dollars for a bigger drive and more ram, which you can get yourself and upgrade for 100 dollars....

Both got the 2.0GHz, for this price, both display outputs better work simultaneously.
