Tim's headed for Uranus to jack up limp iPhone growth.

That will be one of the employees leaving for the evening.
A good number of car people tend to drive non-boring vehicles with expensive tires. Even if they are engineering a boring quiet vehicle for the general public. Also, note that some of the largest exotic car dealerships in the country are in or near the area, and people drive these to work. So...
Nothing to see here, move along.

If  does indeed make a vehicle, it will be overpriced like all their products.

KIA and HYAUNDIA quality, with features of a low-end FORD and GM, at the price of a BENZ, BMW, or even possibly a MASERATI.

Margins baby, it's all about margins.

Why are you even here other than to bait?

I have been thinking the same thing. But judging by the adoption rate of CarPlay into current cars, and Apple's seemingly inability to contract a deal, it might not be likely. Might as well build your own. Only time will tell.
Quite possible.

Apple core :)

I would have thought these testing facilities would be out of reach for anyone... in the middle of nowhere...

Maybe Tim is doing dounuts in the Apple car... for testing.... (or it could be a Apple car having tech issues)

Hmm ... Why would an electric vehicle make "motor noises" I wonder?

Who knows, if they are testing things like the suspension, handling, etc maybe it is easier to just put a gasoline engine in the test vehicles especially if that part of the team is ahead of the electric drive-train team.

i thought it said "motor-sounding" noises...... Not exactly a motor in. so maybe it was something else was heard.?

I work in one of the buildings in this office park, right across from Apple, and I can tell you... the revving sounds are all of the folks that got huge signing bonuses to join the team, turned around and all bought BMW M4s to race through the parking garage and the street behind it. There are literally 10+ all with dealer plates in the garage as I write this.

pics or it didn't happen! lol

Loud? If Apple made a car, it would a 100% for sure be Electric.

I thought the same. (I'd guess they could go hybrid eventually, but not for the first few models).

I am still not convinced they are working on a actual physical car but software for an autonomous car that they have to TEST on a real car.

Even if it was software, if they were testing it late at night (secretly) it seems like they'd test it on an electric car.
