Not at all. Insecure it people walking away from a presentation where Apple did not present one phone as being better than the other (only larger) but somehow thinking the one they ordered is the "flagship". :p

I can see why it would be considered the flagship model to people...more features (regardless if some don't see them as features) as well as higher price tag. I mean how else would you define flagship?

The Plus is the flagship, better specs and higher price. Its the flagship no matter what kind of spin 6 buyers put on it. It doesnt even matter if it is or not either.

Whatever you say, bud. Same processor. Same GPU. Same Ram. Pretty much same everything.

Except yours is driving more pixels. If it was flagship, your processor and GPU would be better.

We dont know if the CPU/GPU is clocked to the same yet do we? Stop being a child the lot of you, its a bloody phone.

First let's look at Apple in general. What devices have they ever presented as "Flagship"?

Flagship is usually something that is MUCH better than the rest of the products, not just marginally better and not just bigger. (Unless we're talking about SUVs or something like that). A flagship would often offer some limited color or configuration as well.

Because Apple couldn't even put in another GB of Ram.

Probably true. :D

But really, it's like buying a car...if you have the same car but in two trims, like XL and XLE, same engine...but the XLE has more features...which one would be considered the higher up model?

Show me where Tim calls it "Flagship" and I'll buy into your little argument.

When has Apple every labeled anything like that? They just don't, and they probably don't consider it a flagship model because that's not how they work. This is people calling it a flagship vs not.

Apples & Oranges. A better comparison would be buying the smaller SUV vs the Larger one and trying to say the larger one is "Flagship" due to the size of it's tires. To truly be "Flagship" it would likely have a larger engine, exclusive paint job, etc, etc..

Exactly. It's not.

What? How is that apples and oranges?

The 6+ has more features than the 6, I don't think anyone can argue that. It's not just bigger.

Any time you have a column of features comparing two items, and one has a blank next to a line item while the other has a dot meaning it's included (again, thinking of cars), it means that one has the feature and the other doesn't.

But you're comparing two different phones.

Your car analogy is comparing the same car.

Only one of those features is potentially unrelated to the size. The rest are all a function of it's size. It's not like there are 2 identically sized iPhones and one has a longer battery life. The longer battery life is a direct correlation to the fact that you can stick a bigger battery in the device. This does not make it a flagship. Just like my tire comparison.

Oh boy do I like the looks of that. I'm always late to the party buying new phones but I might jump at this one a little earlier than I usually would. Really like the expanded size and extra real estate. Hopefully it won't feel unwieldy for my hand size but there's going to be plenty of time to check it out.

Fixed that.

Bigger device with bigger screen = bigger battery. The battery isn't "better".

No it may not get the 80 hours of audio playback advertised, but it's guaranteed to have better battery life than the 6.

If they were equal you would see the same number in both columns.

Maybe flagship is the wrong word? Higher up model better? ;)

Its like an Audi A4 and Audi A6. They can be had with the same engine. Which one is the higher up model?

I'd call them different, not higher. I don't like the A6, I'd never buy one. To me the A4 is a better model...more sporty. The A6 is closer to a family car.

I think this is a good analogy for the iPhone 6 and 6+. They are different, one is not necessarily the "higher model".

I think most would disagree but I can see your point too. You're looking at it more like the S4 is a higher model of the A4 (which is true). But again most people would see the A6 as a higher up model than the A4 and the A8 a higher model of the A6 etc.

it was confirmed today there is 2gb ram.

iPhone 6 plus is better than the 6. C'mon lets be real.
Its sad to see so many posts on this forum like, "here's why i chose the 6 over the plus!"

Actually, its hilarious. So many grown adults trying to justify why, for whatever reason, they couldn't get the 6 plus.

Obviously its a better phone than the regular 6. You think there was an actual small supply of 6+'s? Apple purposefully bottlenecked/delayed the 6+'s because they knew everyone was clamoring for them.

So they made the 4.7's readily available for the impatient people.

C'mon guys be real with yourselves.

So tired of trolls like this... The iphone release is all that some people have to look forward, get a hobby.

I don't care about flagship. I'm specifically arguing your battery life claim.

They're both apple's latest and greatest.

I don't recall making any battery life claims. But agreed, they are both the latest and greatest.
