Can you elaborate? If stuff is downscaling to 1080p to run on the 6 Plus, wouldn't it also downscale to run on the 6?

For everyone: here is a nice article explaining the downscaling stuff. So it DOES NOT CONCERN iPhone 6, just the plus model.

Here is also (my) thread about the matter, where you can read further.

It did look a bit laggy. When he rotated the screen it took a few seconds to catch up. We won't know till Friday when everyone gets their hands on one.

It seemed fluid to me when he is opening up apps and such. The hang up when rotating I think was caused by the phone not being up right enough, it was tilted too far back.

Fixed that.

Bigger device with bigger screen = bigger battery. The battery isn't "better".

Yup.

Here's a good article about downscaling too:

The 6 (non-Plus) is the REAL "Flagship" folks.

The Plus is getting more hype, but 1) it's a PHABLET, and 2) it's not better, and in some ways is appreciably WORSE.

I'm sure it'll be fine, and everyone will enjoy their device, I just wanted to point out the facts as I am growing tired of listening to all of the "advantages" of the +. There aren't. Besides a massive, downscaled screen that is...

Actually, the majority of the threads seem to be of the "Let me tell you why the iPhone 6 Plus is such a terrible phone" variety.

"Facts"? Have you held the phone and used it yourself yet? I can find articles on the iPhone 6 Plus for both sides of the argument on just about every single topic.

Relax. Two different phones for two different kinds of people. Simple. You want a bigger screen? Get the plus. Does the OIS matter to you? Get the plus. Want something more compact and "handier" to use? Get the 6.

Whatever floats your boat.

What in the world are you kids talking about?? Apple flagship phone crap? Don't be ridiculous!!! Apple doesn't do "flagship" anything! They have ONE phone and that's the iPhone, period!!! Stop comparing Apple to Samsung or any other company. Goodness gracious!

It could be lag, or it could be the angle he was holding the phone. If he is holding it flat on a table, rotating it 90º wouldn't necessarily rotate the screen as opposed to holding it upright and rotating it.

My impression is that the delay was due to the fact that he was holding the phone flat on a table for video presentation purposes.
