I said this about the iPhone 4 when I saw the Giz photos man. I was like, why the hell would I want a square phone. Until I held it.....then it was over.

Apple has a way of ALWAYS designing beautiful phones

I didn't - I loved the photo. Thought it was classic.

But, we'll see.

And another weird thing is Mark deleted all his tweets a few days ago. For a while there was nothing in his timeline.

I disagree. There is no need to have a phone any bigger than the current iPhone. I remember when I got the first iPhone, I was very hesitant because it was SO big (back then, compared to my Razor, haha) The iPhone 4 is SLIGHTLY smaller than all previous models, but I'd rather it be SMALLER, not larger. But, if anything, I guess I may be OK with the current phone being "smushed"... wider, but thinner. In it's current form, I do think it is way too tall. Maybe if it's wider, but thinner, with a larger screen - it may all even out. We'll see.

I have to respectfully disagree. I don't know your sex/size/stature, but i'm 6'2" 170lbs, and my hands dworf the current iPhone 4. It's too small to hold comfortably for me, especially with two hands.

I sold my iPhone 4 already to get money for an iPhone 5. I'm currently using a Samsung Captivate (4" screen). The phone is larger, and feels better in my hands, and the screen increase is a welcome for me.

I played with a Samsung Infuse at the AT&T store (4.5" screen) and that seemed perfect for me.

While I know the iPhone 5 won't be 4.5" i'm really hoping for 4.0".

My gf is 5'4" 110lbs and uses my old iPhone 3G, and she has no issues with the size, no issues holding or texting. A 4.5" phone would likely be uncomfortable for her to hold.

It's all relative to the size of your hands (even though I think most would like a larger screen). When you don't offer a physical keyboard, a larger screen should always be welcome.

I think within a year a 4.0" screen will be the minimum to be considered a feature smartphone (it's already 4.0" for everyone but Apple, 4.3" even have already been out for 2 years, and more and more 4.5" are coming out all the time). Screen size is the only category in which Apple is constantly behind the competition instead of setting the standard.

Apple will eventually have multiple iPhones, smaller screens/sizes for lower price points, then we can all be happy.

I agree..I love my captivates size. The iPhone 4 feels like a tiny glass box that I am just constantly trying not to break.

You're talking mostly about screen sizes. I was talking about actual phone size.

I'm 6', 170 lbs if you must know. I have "normal" sized hands.

I was referring to both. If the screen is 4.0" and it's basically all screen, i'll be ackward to hold with two hands as well. I'd like both to be bigger, phone size, and screen size. It's more about thickness to me, as long as it fits in my back pocket, I don't care how long or wide it is, as long as depth is kept under control. As I said above, like the Samsung Infuse, great dimensions (screen and body), perfect for me.

Maybe the "5" will be the 4" model and the "4" will remain the same for those who want a small phone. Works for me.

(and the "one more thing" at the keynote will be that the old "4" is getting an A5 chip)

I don't see that happening.

I think there will just be the next generation iPhone and then the iPhone 4 that will be sold at a discounted price.
