An investigation was already done. What some people are wanting is more investigation by apple.

That’ll be sure to go over well

Like DOJ investigating corruption within DOJ. No conceivable bias Or conflict of interest st whatsoever or reputations to protect

It’s only half of the company’s revenue, the iPhone

I’m sure if there is anything to be discovered, Apple will be the first and fastest to tell us like they do with all other manufacturing faults that they get their arms twisted into having to cover for longer periods of time than usual like flex gate because of kickback

Just like how Apple is so privacy centric yet they let contractors listen to passive non Siri related conversation unchecked until all the public backlash. Absolutely absurd they’re beneath their own standards they pretend to set

I hope this testing company sues apple too for libel/slander. The testing company is accredited by the FCC. Apple is basically saying this testing company doesn't know what it is doing.

I’ve been accused of having my brain in my a$$ but never in my wrist. This discussion is getting more ridiculous with every post.
There is absolutely nothing ridiculous about the WristCozy. It’s even lined with the finest Corinthian tin, made from genuine, recycled tinfoil hats.

But wait, there’s more! Be one of the first 10,000 to call and receive a second WristCozy free! Just pay low shipping and handling ($16.95). Wear your Apple Watch on either wrist! Or both wrists!

Don’t trust your wrist protection needs to cheap imitations! Get your WristCozy today, you’ll never worry about wrist cancer again! Enjoy your Apple Watch 24 hours a day with full protection from high frequency electromagnetic radiation!

There might be a suit the other way if found out the testing company DIDN’T know what it was doing. I hope that happens.

if low radiation destroyed the brain, we'd be all zombies roaming the earth by now...

There are literally millions of us. When a company develops a phone, they try and call the shots..

I guess everything starts out at one point with 'no proof.' if everyone believes the other side.

This BS needs to stop. If they use the children argument, then they need to present studies showing brain development hinderance due to this. Also, children do not have cellphones at 5mm or even 2mm from their brains, even when playing.

I think from a consumer rights perspective, it’s the *maker’s* responsibility to fully test their technology, and ensure that there aren’t any harmful effects on consumers; not the other way around. Which is a very good thing. If there’s a question it might affect children, or you or me, it’s up to Apple to ensure such questions are answered and such studies are made. In this case, they have spoken. So now it’s up to our regulators to verify it, hopefully in a transparent, factual, and proactive way, without the pressure of lobbies or big $$$. It’s the reason we have regulations in the first place. Companies’ goals are profits, not necessarily the well-being of their customers. And if a company, any company, is found to have sold products that are harmful beyond regulations, they should face the consequences. And hopefully in a humble, and apologetic manner, complete with financial restitutions. Since they can’t undo the harm already done. Anything less than that is unacceptable in a civilized country.

And I don’t know what kids you’re talking about. The kids I know talk on the phone. And they do so not unlike adults, which is mostly by placing the phone against their skull.

Here come the hungry lawyers again...

People worry about a couple watts, then blast themselves with 400W Amps inside their cars.
Add to that, fluorescent lights, transformers of all kinds, leaky microwave ovens (people don't clean the doors), etc.
Microwave ovens are similar kinds of EMR. The rest are not, or they're not even EMR at all.
If you think that's bad, I blast myself with 298280 watts in my car (400 horsepower) ;)

Everyone who was interested knew that iphones had scary high radiation levels. It's public. Just go on gsmarena.com.
I saw a warning sticker with those stats in an Apple store on the Genius Bar countertop and was wondering if someone secretly put it there.

"we know cell phone radiation is dangerous" - we do? Based on what scientific findings? Would love to see the study that is peer reviewed and accepted by the scientific community as sound.
If it's true, I doubt it'll be accepted like that considering how much money is behind cell phones and how zero money is against them. Consider coal and tobacco.
The only facts I know are about much higher power than cell phones. Microwave ovens fry your insides obviously. Less obvious, someone contracted serious health problems from close-up exposure to a high-powered TV network transmitter.

And they wonder why the reproductive rate/sperm count across the western world is dropping.

Putting your cell phone by your nuts in your pocket is probably not helping.
You should cite a sharp fertility decrease sometime after 2009 if you want to even make this accusation.

Arent we all bombarded by different radiation daily? Event if you dont own a phone, cell towers radtion, wifi of neighboor, remote control, bluetooth, fm, am, drones etc.. If we can see them all we would have been blinded.

Suing apple is one way of getting rich i guess.

Don’t get your hopes up. My guess is if the newspaper’s lab tests under the same conditions as the lab that did the FCC certification testing for Apple, the iPhones will pass.

PS Why can’t you afford an XR, it’s less expensive than your 7 Plus.

I don’t get my hopes up - just dreaming with eyes open.

iPhone XR is nice but in E Europe prices are beyond ridiculous. I will change my 7 plus when it dies :) Now it still works and I use the phone mainly for email, messaging, maps and phone calls.
I usually keep 1 phone for 3 (+1) years since it’s not justified the price for my use case.

Yes, unfortunately sales tax and other statutory fees are almost 30% for you. Except for that, the price is not much different than we pay here, about 11 850 Ft (USD40.00) more than US price of USD749. But cheaper than your 7 Plus, yes?

But yeah I’m with you about holding on to my current phone. I have a 6s, and I plan on keeping it until the 2021 iPhones are released. It runs very well on iOS 12, quite fast :)

Spoken like a true money grabber. Thank you for making my point.

I don’t think there enough data to tell how harmful these devices are. It could take decades to know the health risks.
It's been decades since cellphones became popular. And there really hasn't been the increase of cases of cancer as one would expect.

Well, it’s absolutely debatable. Radiation levels are just a number until you demonstrate that you followed exactly the protocol that you are supposed to follow. So one measures X, another measures Y, and you check who followed exactly the protocol.

It’s like saying a car is heavier than it is supposed to be because you weighed it with a full tank and four passengers, when the protocol says to weigh it empty with no more than five litres in the tank.

An assumption has to be made that measuring the radiation levels was done as prescribed, by all involved parties.
