Apple's fault.

Apple could probably have avoided this had they issued a more appropriate and customer friendly response. Then again, I have no use for slimy lawyers who get rich off of class action suits that do nothing for the consumer but line the pockets of the attorneys involved.

Sue Sue Sue. Just return the damn phone if you are having problems, that's what the return policy is for!

"The firm is offering telephone, email, and live chat contact options for customers as it presumably begins looking to launch a class action lawsuit against Apple."

What no Facetime?

Not surprising

Anticipated this. :(
Obviously Apple's effort to cloak the new handsets with cases that resembled prior versions kept it from discovering the alleged signal issue. Now's the time to step up and begin handing out free bumpers.

I love my phone, but this is sweet. Nail Apple to the damn wall. Steve Jobs moronic "non-issue" and "you're holding it wrong" responses are going to bite him in the ass. Justifiably.

Appple better step up...and fast. While I feel a lot of suits are frivolous, if this issue never gets addressed, this is a legit class action lawsuit.

Stupid.

Give Apple a chance to resolve this issue.

Me? I haven't had ANY problems at all. I get better signal in most cases. But I realize others have issues and hope Apple comes out with a good fix.

I guess I'm just confused as to what the basis of the suit is. Did Apple force anyone to buy the phone? Are they not taking returns within the 30 days? Is this firm just looking to say, "yeah.. we sued Apple once."

so are they going to go after ALL cell phone manufacturers' whose phones have the same problem?

If people are unhappy with the phone simply return it. So lame... Class action law suits make one person rich and that's the lawyer.

Sweet, we can all get twenty bucks and be nearly on our way to affording a bumper!

I'm pretty sure the class action suit typically works out more for the lawyers than it does for the people with the problems.

Q--What's the difference between a lawyer and a carp?

A--One's a scum sucking bottom feeder, the other's a fish.

just a tad too early for a lawsuit... the phone has been out, what, less than a week, and Apple hasn't responded to the situation "officially" yet.

Until a press release is made specifically addressing or dismissing the issue, I wouldn't get your panties in a bunch just yet. Also to note, EVERYONE is still in the return window both with Apple and with AT&T, so you do have an option to keep the phone or return it. Apple is not forcing anyone to keep the phone at this point (unless you damaged it)...

If a known issue isn't addressed or responded to within the return window for the first sales, allow Apple to make a reasonable attempt to fix the problem or recall the device. If neither happen, THEN grab the sharks in the suits.

we could probably solve 90% of frivolous lawsuits in this country if we banned lawyers from soliciting for business. scum

Just sent an email to them with explanation of my problem. I don't want money I just want Apple to fix this and for them to realize this is a serious issue and most if not all people are affected...I think some don't want to admit Apple made a mistake.

I love Apple and use only Apple PC's at home and this is my 3rd iPhone (2G, 3G, 4), but this is unacceptable.
