A leaked image from a WWDC developer session is making the rounds, showing that the Voice Memo app that isn't currently included in the iOS 7 Beta 1 will make an appearance in a future release.

Also, a tipster tells us the release notes for the first iOS 7 Beta mention the Voice Memo app:
Voice Memos - Known Issues

The VoiceMemos app is not available in this seed.
The Voice Memo app doesn't seem to appear in any of the iOS 7 marketing materials on Apple's website, but developers should see it in a future iOS 7 beta release and we expect it to be included in the final iOS 7 release this fall.

I gotta say, any icon is better than what they used to be under Forstall.

Looks like the clock face on the clock app isn't live updating on this image (unlike some others)

This is not news. In the BETA one release notes it specifically says it was left out of BETA 1 seed.

lol didnt even notice that its been missing :D and ugh those icons still not used to them. look like some ugly winterboard theme still

also no more live clock and that "leaked" live weather still absent? shame

If Apple doesn't provide it, I am sure there will be hundreds of apps that will fill that void.

Come on man, ain't nobody got time to read release notes.

If you go into Settings -> General -> Usage and then click Show All Apps you'll see the following :

com.Apple.VoiceMemos 0kb

And an even more ugly icon!

I think the absence of a stock app shows just how much of a work in progress iOS 7 is.
