Bad isn't it.

The problem for Apple is that these days software is leaking to the same degree (if not worse) than hardware.
That can't be blamed on suppliers, that is coming from their end.

Not necessarily with the GM, that would have to be given to the suppliers early in order to start installing it onto the devices as soon as possible to have them ready to ship.

Still not true quad HD seeing that the resolution will be 1125×2436 instead of actual Quad HD which is 2560×1440 (S8 is 2960x1440 nearly 3K for comparison). If the screen has no ProMotion which has not leaked yet...some here will be highly disappointed. Enjoy true tone.....
Hmm, that resolution at 5.8" only comes out at ~460 ppi and if it's a pentile oled that will make a difference... really needs to be over 550 to disguise the unusual sub pixel layout :/ just have to hope they have pushed for an RGB stripe panel, could explain the extra cost from the recent rumour.

If there are new AirPods, I hope mine that deliver next Wednesday (supposing FedEx can get too me with Hurricane Irma hitting on Sunday/Monday) are the new version. If not, back they go to Apple.

this could very well be the first iphone I skip over. I've literally had every single one but the price on this one doesn't impress me IF the rumored price point is true.

I would really love to know more about the event via rumors, but I want to be surprised (at least a little bit) at the event too! First world problems, amirite?

I really do hope those of you who say they are getting the 7S/+ over the 8 stick to your guns and don’t change your minds once the keynote is over....
Yeah, I'll be sticking with 7S+. As much as I already know about this 8, or pro, it's just not bowling me over. I like the plus, and I'm happy to have the 7S+.

Maybe next year once they work any kinks out.

Ah...
I did a bit of research before buying AirPods, and most people seemed to be saying it was very unlikely there would be an update.

I bought mine about a week and a half ago... So, I guess I'll be returning them for a refund tomorrow.

Just hoping I'll be able to get a pair of the new ones as soon as they go on sale.

My local Best Buy (Chicago) has them in stock even though they don't show up as "in stock in the website". I purchased them through Best Buy online and received them in 2 days. This was Wednesday so the keynote will be within the 14 day return window so I'll wait and see what really changes. If its just the light, I'll keep these. If they are cheaper or shortes, I'll return and buy the new ones.

I really don't understand the complaints about not having a headphone jack. Apple provided a lightning port to headphone jack adapter with the iPhone 7 which I used for the first couple of months until I got my Air Pods (which I dearly LOVE). I know you can't charge your phone while using the lightning port to listen to music but is it that big of a deal?

The plain black wallpaper is a good option that has been missing since Apple added wallpapers. iPhone screens can end up looking a mess with a coloured wallpaper and up to 28 coloured icons, with no coordination between any of them. First task with a new device is find a black wallpaper (or make one if it ends up quicker).

Looks let be honest here. The only reason to take the s upgrade over the brand new one, is cost

Is there nothing left we won't know about next Tuesday??

You voluntarily come to a site called Macrumors where leaks are frequent. Spoilers will happen.

Apparently, this will be how the notification bar looks on the iPhone Notch

Carriers aren’t throwing a tantrum over scrapped branding?

And Touch ID because holding a phone up to your face all the time isn’t desirable or convenient on all occasions.

Well new Airpods should help with the supply problem for the old ones finally. Wonder it the folks still waiting on the orig Airpods will get their order filled with the new ones or if they have to wait another year? LOL

I Hope AirPod 2.0 fabrication is simplified because the current model’s availability is a joke.

It is very difficult for me to understand that kind of logic...

For ten years you spent a monumental amount of money (Not that anyone has anything to do with that) on every single etineration of the Iphone.

Technologically, there is no logical justification for that except:
- “because I can!”
- “because I want!”
- “because I need the best thing every single time!”

Then, Apple creates what it seams like the first IPhone that really makes sense to purchase since the IPhone 5S (which after all this years, I’m still using as my main phone).
They allegedly ask for 300€ more or whatever for an IPhone that is packed with new technology and you just don’t feel the necessity to buy it anymore.

I mean, to each their own...1000€ is a lot of money, I won’t buy it for sure if that rumor is true...but then again I didn’t spend around 2500€ on smartphones in the last 3 years.

This also applies to Iphones bought with a carrier contract...at the end, summing every month, you have to pay more than the full price of the smartphone.

On the other hand, maybe you had the eureka that buying a brandnew 1000€ Iphone, is not the most sensible decision after spending around 2500€ on Iphones in the last three years.

I agree, but It is important to note that this would also apply If the Iphone 8 only costs 700€ instead of 1000€...It wouldn’t be a sensible purchase either way...

So we again arrive to the beginning, not that I have anything to do with what people spend their money, but I just can’t make sense of this...

To me it looks like AW3 is thinner, bigger? and the screen occupies more space in the black area. The red button looks like a sensor (blood oxygen? Glucose???) or could be a notification light.

It would not make sense for it to be a notification light because no one sits and look at their wrist all day. It’s also not a sensor since it’s not in contact with the skin. It’s just red to let people know it’s an Apple Watch 3 with cell data.
