Regarding the red crown on that Apple Watch... consider the possibility that it's just a graphic overlay that the iPhone shows to indicate you which button to press, or something to that extent. Still, I'm probably wrong since I don't own one and have not configured an Apple Watch ever.

Hard to believe they'd start removing such great features as 3D Touch and Touch ID. I live in a cold climate. How would Face ID work when I'm wearing sunglasses, a beanie and a scarf over half of my face?

And I use 3D Touch constantly. It's the reason I originally upgraded to the 6S. Switching between apps this way, or peaking at the last app is very helpful.

Where did see they are removing 3D Touch?

That crown has to be LED lit. Wouldn’t make sense in a design POV with different colored faces that don’t match it.

No. However, you can save the IPWS for quick install on Tuesday. That way, you don't to worry about crowded Apple server loads.

Speaking of which, it would be interesting to know the gender purchase ratio of the iPhone. I am guessing more women buy iPhones than men.

I don't have some masculinity issue with the new wallpapers, albeit I do see them as being a little more feminine. If I liked them, I would use them. Not my cup of tea.

Never worked all that well to begin with. Double tapping the home button was always faster and more reliable for me.

The biggest mystery on all of iOS history? Dynamic wallpaper. Never explained, never expanded upon. I suspect it's based on compositions, but no docs and no way to add new dynamic wallpaper...

Tim Cook doubled down on privacy and actually made some good progress in the supply chain and manufacturing side of things, but then Apple accidentally leaked everything else themselves. Go figure.

One thing we don't yet know: Will it cost to upgrade iTunes movies to 4K, and if so, how much?

Knowing Apple and their trend it will be free where available.

These leaks are ridiculous. Apple needs to triple down on secrecy. The HomePod firmware was bad enough, but now this? Someone needs to get the sack for this.

Forget about getting sacked. There should be fines to pay or even jail time involved. This is just as bad as stealing and sharing music and movies.

And Touch ID because holding a phone up to your face all the time isn’t desirable or convenient on all occasions.

Have you seen how Face ID will work? It may have a pretty wide angle for scanning. In any case, what are the ways you can use a fully touch screen phone without looking at it? Not many unless you are navigating with the sight impaired accessibility modes. You have to face the screen to even use it other than changing volume or the mute switch which won't need unlocking to use. If it unlocks instantly upon tapping the screen while looking at it, my guess is the experience will be 99.9% the same as touch ID. Maybe you can rest your thumb on the bottom of the screen and you won't know the difference.
