yes I also like a thinner, lighter and squarish frame

the thick and heavy iphone 11 makes me use my ipad or macbook more when at home.

it's just too heavy for longterm handheld usage but of course long battery life is the most important, and that should be on the next iphone too.
Yeah I find longterm usage more difficult on my 11 Pro than my previous phones. The 5 was my favourite, then my 7 which I still use sometimes!

Nice. I wonder how the 5.4” model’s 2-camera layout will be shaped. iPhone 11 or X/XS style?

looks good overall, hoping for pro-motion, but still a slight let down in other areas.

1) i know it was unlikely, but i was hoping for some version of touch id under the glass in the 12. wearing a mask the last few weeks has rendered face id useless outside of the house. it's still secure but touch id under the glass in additional to face id would have been a welcome additional given current circumstances.

2) it's hard to believe another phone with lightning. i don't get it. how can apple look themselves in the mirror for another year where users still can't just plug their new iphones into their new macs out of the box and require adapters/additional cable purchases. the iphone will never be portless, and will eventually make the switch to usb-c, just do it already.

This is going to be a really pretty phone. I plan on waiting until at least 2021/iPhone 12S to upgrade, but I'm looking forward to this next generation body, 5G, and hopefully ProMotion.

Steve Jobs is not working at Apple in 2017 and the Apple executive thinking let's make the iPhone looks stupid with a notch screen design.

This is exactly what I’ve been picturing for months based off non-visual predictions from reliable sources. So happy to see this and praying that it’s accurate; 12 is my next upgrade regardless!

If the phone is 7.4mm thick, and the camera bump is 1.26mm, then the phone is actually 8.66mm thick.
that's if your majority of handling the phone you are holding it by the camera bump then yes. Lets be honest we don't hold the phone anywhere close to the camera so a slightly bump isn't a big deal. It doesn't take away from how the phone feels in your hand. Its just slightly not "pretty" but hey we all can complain about pointless things.

This is a money grabbing scheme by Apple. A lot of people will update over the flat design and smaller notch and then when Touch ID is ready under the glass they release a full screen phone and all the notch haters will upgrade their phones. Touch ID might be ready under the glass but Apple needs to get buyers each generation so they wouldn't release it till they needed better sales...

So the Arnold case will finally look movie-correct instead of missing one of the launcher?

In prep for the iphone 13 which will do away with the lightning port altogether in favour of wireless charging and the smart connector.

That would be hilarious. But if it has a smart connector, is it really portless?

Also, might as well make that smart connector charge capable. All hail the return of ‘Super’ MagSafe.

...except iPhones weigh nothing so they would still go flying. Ha

Wonder what the smart connector would be for? Hmmmmm

The EU is pushing for USB-C, but what if they remove the Lighting port and let you charge the iPhone via Qi or via the Smart Connector? No more oles, just a magnetic connector and it would be better than Qi as you would have a cable.
It would make more sense at the bottom of the phone instead of Lighting though, so it may be there for an accessory, but once they introduce the connector it could be used for charging as well in the future

Those lenses are too big. I thought the 11's were even too big. Wish they would shrink them or just take away the lens bezel.

I like the lenses on the 11 more than the one on my Xs, I'm talking about design. At first I thought they looked weird, but now I like them

I won’t buy a “Pro” iPhone if it’s not the same size as my X or smaller, and I probably won’t buy a non “Pro” phone. I’ll just keep refreshing my X’s battery.

then you are a terrible sales person for them to be confused, time to brush up your sales skills from probing to closing

I had no issues with sales and did well for years. I was simply ethical and did't force people into purchases and ultimately let them choose.

Go ask your mum or grandfather (which is most customers as younger people usually buy online) what iPhone they want and what they use it for, and what their budget is and it can become a bit fo challenge when you have 6 options.
