Does this mean the end of "Bendgate"? A problem that never actually existed.
Yes, but only to be replaced with a different "name-gate" "scandal"

Tech blogs are the only place you find people who give a **** about "___-gates".Rigidgate
But like the poster above said, why make it stronger if there was no bending problem in the first place?
My 6 has a bend at the volume buttons. I have owned every iphone and they are still all in good condition apart from my 6 that has the bend.Does this mean the end of "Bendgate"? A problem that never actually existed.
Oh it existed alright, my iPhone 6 bent when I forcibly tried to bend it!Does this mean the end of "Bendgate"? A problem that never actually existed.
Backwards Picture is backwards, dude.
Odd, my 6 bent within two weeks of owning it and they replaced it on the spot.Interesting that Apple took the "it is a non-issue" approach with the whole bend-gate thing yet they are doing this. Much welcomed but my 6 Plus bent and they wouldn't replace it saying it was my fault.
It did actually, just on a much smaller scale than the media blew it up to be. As I stated above, my 6 bent within a couple of weeks and I baby my phones. I took it into the Apple store, they verified that it caused touch screen issues and replaced it on the spot. The Genius Bar rep that helped me was fully aware that it was an issue.Does this mean the end of "Bendgate"? A problem that never actually existed.
For all we know they're using the same aluminum as is used on the Watch. It's not unusual for R&D from one product to find its way into other products.Rigidgate

But now they have the Watch to beat up on.Nah, they'll just find a guy with stronger thumbs to bend the 6S. The media needs more clicks, so they can generate more ad revenue, so they can fabricate more stories, so they can get more clicks, so they can generate more ad revenue.....
Looks like the aluminium from the Apple Watch Sport (there was already a rumor about this).A different manufacturing method or a different material was definitely used.
Look at the iPhone 6 (Plus) on the right with the "milling marks" left behind compared to the left where it has a smooth, continuous flow process

The odds of winning the lottery are better…..Good to see Apple finally coming clean about Bendgate.
Now, we just need to see a flush camera, no antenna lines, 32GB standard, 2 GB RAM, a better battery and a 4" size.
Really? This seems very un apple like.Interesting that Apple took the "it is a non-issue" approach with the whole bend-gate thing yet they are doing this. Much welcomed but my 6 Plus bent and they wouldn't replace it saying it was my fault.

Apple hasn't done anything to address the bendgate saga. This wasn't real and the numbers show that.Good to see Apple finally coming clean about Bendgate.

Absolutely. The genius told me that it was propaganda and that I just have bent it myself somehow using excessive force.Really? This seems very un apple like.
But bendgate was trumped up and changing aspects of the design from one release to the next is normal.
