Too bad. I would rather see production adjustments for the current 6S Plus screen. Quiet a few seem to have more or less obvious issues with the backlight, 3D touch pressure points or adhesive (dust?) points in the top left corner. I don't want to play the exchange lottery unless Apple sorts this out. But it doesn't look like it.

It´s in Apples best interest that devs start making use of 3Dt asap. Making a new phone without it goes against logic. Nobody will skip the 6c and jump to the 6s/7 just to get 3Dt, but devs might skip making the effort if there is too little hardware out there..

These report are always so funny.

"The iPhone 7 could have this... The iPhone 7 could have that..."

Of course, it could also come with a magical unicorn!

No OLED? Yes. Bezels the same, why?
Because the bezel on the backlight part is exactly the same as before. This means the screen can't go right to the edge. It's also the same dimensions as before, so the design can't be changing drastically, like on some of the mockups.
I guess it's possible they could do something interesting like integrating the home button into the screen with the current screen dimensions, but that would mean the phone itself would get short and fat, which seems unlikely.

I imagine the design of the 7 will be very similar to the 6s, just thinner again, perhaps with the antenna lines removed and maybe some new camera feature, more memory or something similar, to convince people to part with their cash again... just like the last few times.

The iPhone 8 is more likely to be bezel-free, once they start using new OLED screen tech.

iOS devices were topped out at 64gb storage for awhile before getting a 128gb option in 2014...it would be pretty surprising to see a 256gb option already.

It seems kind of early this year that leaks are coming out. maybe these are for the 6c tho.

is there a technology yet that would allow for the TouchID to be integrated right into the screen. its time to move on from the space wasting home button. 3D Touch slide gesture was the first step

I believe 64 GB was available in 2012, 128 GB in 2014, so 256 GB in 2016 seems to make sense.

I think eventually the iPhone will just be a seamless and waterproof single piece of ultra strong glass (or equivalent), with the display wrapping around the whole thing (front, back and sides), and long-range wireless charging. If they really tried, Apple could do this now, but since that design couldn't really be improved upon, they will drag their feet with incremental updates as much as possible.

Even if they could get the phone size to be 99% of the total dimensions (which they can't), it still wouldn't qualify as short and fat. More realistically if they integrated the home button into the screen and reorganized the front camera, speaker and sensors to reduce the height, the iPhone 6 would only be slightly wider and taller than the iPhone 5/s.

I will be totally okay with waiting until the S version. I'm in no rush to buy 50$ adapters to listen to my headphones at the gym or snowboarding. Plus my 6S is a beast.
I keep reading the sentiment that a 1/8" adapter will cost $50-60. I can't see how an adapter would cost that much for an old cable for headphones. It's not like they are converting 30-pin to lightning, or lightning to hdmi it's just an 1/8" audio cable.
