To be sure Samsung are being supreme hypocrites here, but lest we forget...

Apple "decided" to go 2G. (yeah right)
"who wants a stylus, you have to get them out, put them away...yuk" Galaxy S pen arrives... then Apple Pencil
"No one" is going to buy a 4 inch+ "hummer" phone... Galaxy sells millions of larger phones... then Apple release their Max lineup.

Apple doesn't need to give anything away in order to sell their devices, Samsung does, and that's the difference!
That’s not the point tho, it’s not the need to give something away. It makes it less of a kicker knowing that you will get a free pair of Galaxy Buds Plus and there tracker thing thrown in. I’m not saying it’s worth it I’m just saying from a marketing perspective it seems better.

You people realize there are more than just Galaxy S phones, right? They still have chargers coming with their budget mid range A and M series of phones. When people think of Samsung they only heard of Galaxy S Series except for the rest of the line of phones.

At least the adapter connector and cable style stayed the same. S20 owners can use the same stuff with the S21.
I had to buy a type C adapter for my included iPhone 12 cable.
The same cable that has shipped with iPhones since the iPhone 5 work with the iPhone 12. You didn’t “have” to buy a type C adapter.

Interesting how Samsung includes an ejection pin. Apple includes a SIM removal tool.

That's marketing 101. Name your stuff what it does, not what it is. (granted Apple is lately horrid with naming, thankfully this name came from years ago when Apple was good at naming.)

I only disagree with the stylus part here. The Pencil is NOT the same thing Steve was referring to (a device that NECESSITATED a stylus as a means of interaction).

Haters gonna hate.
Apple isn’t original any longer.
Samsung keeps innovation in their core.

Santa exists and hangs with Easter bunny outside each others’ holiday seasons.

You forgot to include the /s in your post. If you don't include it some people may not realize it's sarcasm.

And water is wet....
I will tell you from now...but i guess a lot of you guys knows this already
Apple will remove the port from iphone and later next year, Samsung will do the same...they make fun of apple and after they copy cat Apples decision .....Samsung the definition of hypocrisy

Apple is not going to "remove the port."

Are they not embarrassed about this, or do they think people just won't notice.

Who is "they" and why would "they" be embarrassed? Samsung is a bunch of people who get paid to show up to work each day, who likely couldn't care less about anything beyond their paycheck.

Without chargers, Samsung and Apple can ship more phones per container thus saving some cost. That is what it is really about.

Okay, and what's your point? That if something benefits the environment then it should not be implemented if it also saves a company money?

I made my point. If I was trying to make the pretzel based point you came up with, I would have made that specific point, so that you could try and tear apart my post. Good thing I didn't post what you tried to extrapolate from my post.

If it impacted consumer sentiment one iota, this would not be justification. Even with airfreight, transportation of the phone from Asia is an immaterial cost relative to the other investments. The real bugbear is regulation--it's already so in Europe and soon it will be impossible to ship chargers with phones worldwide.
