The chubby actually grew on me over time.I'll have to play with one in person. I wasn't happy with the 3rd gen. either until I actually held the chubby in my hand and fondled it.
Leave those thoughts at home, mister!

I'm just wondering if anybody noticed that the dock adapter is kind of slim and long, basically built for the current Nano, not for the fake one in the picture. Totally fake!!!!!
The games on the nano would probably be a lot more fun then on the touch because you will have the clickwheel + motion sensor. And if the nano has modeshift like the rokr e8 when your in game mode the click wheel would change into a gamepad. :crosses fingers:![]()
oh gross, this looks just like a zune!

I agree with the posters who have proposed a smaller touch iPod, although I think that those who highlight the problem of size also have a point. The interface would have to change to accommodate the reduced size. I put together some mockups of how this might look on my blog a couple of months back:
Introducing a 9-icon variant of the iPhone OS would add a significant ongoing overhead to the development of the platform. Nonetheless, given the importance of offering smaller form-factor devices, it may well make sense for Apple to branch development in this way. It would mean that standard iPhone apps would not work on this platform - they would require adaptation.

I'm surprised how short people's memory capacity is. Only one generation of the nano has been different from the elongated design, and that is the most recent 3G. Considering that the first two generations of the iPod nano were BEFORE the smaller Zune it doesn't make sense to say the rumoured 4G nano looks like a Zune, but looks like previous generations with just a longer screen.
I just read on engadget that all iPod nano 3G will be discarded once the new ones come out. Basically, even if they have some and you want to buy you won't be able to.
