Love that you don't realize bigger phone means more space for additional components which might lead to additional features
the 12 Pro and 13 Pro will be literally the same size so why will the 13 Pro feature the sensor shift stabilisation and the new 2,5x telephoto from the 12 Pro Max? it was said that the 12 Pro is smaller a that’s why it lacked this features 🤔

"Both the ‌iPhone 13‌ and ‌iPhone 13‌ Pro will continue to use the same battery components as last year, but offer batteries that are 10 percent larger."

Considering how horrific my 12 Pro Max battery is now (83% health)...this is not encouraging.

*Again...some have no issues with their 12 battery.
Many of us do though.

It's like a lousy lottery, hit or miss
Mine battery health is still at 100% on my 12 Pro Max. Have you tried to exchange your phone?

...then you realise the 120hz display will be 20% less energy efficient than last years display. Bye bye battery gains.
why ? since its promotion? you can test an ipad wathcing a movie without promotion VS an ipad pro with promotion
After 1 hour the promotion ipad will have 99% while the ipad without it will have 96%
Why? because the promotion display will project the movie at 24hz while the other one is stuck on 60hz no matter what you do
Thats why promotion was such a big deal 5 years ago an innovation for the display content ...and until 2020 the smartphones didnt even get that, you were just stuck on 60hz or 120hz.

My 11 Pro Max is still very fast with an amazing battery and 5G really has not taken off enough for me to warrant an upgrade. Until 5G really takes off; I don't see the point in moving on from my 11 Pro Max.

Since the 120hz display technology requires more power consumption over traditional 60hz displays. It's having to work twice as hard, although the benefits to the user will be nice. Just not battery draining nice.

Oh, I see Weinbach is not very reliable.

Perhaps we need a better leak from this source
...and not about this years phone?
🙄

I’m still totally pleased with getting a 12 Mini for $300 off last week.

Me too!

I suggest those deciding between the 13 and 12, to make a decision pretty soon after the announcement.
Availability of the 12 series iPhones might be challenging if Apple stops shipping them in a few weeks.

again, read again what i said...it depends what you are doing...the battery life on a samsung that is stuck in 120hz is 2 hours less VS 60hz stuck panel. Promotion has variable refresh rate, it is rumoured to be even better than the ipads since it will come down till 1hz
So if you use motion, you will loose no more than 30-40 minutes from an iphone 12 pro for example. If you are playing games or watch movies or taking notes then you save battery thanks to promotion
So dont worry about it...promotion it has only benefits

It is worth noting that Weinbach has a mixed to poor track record. Previous reports from Weinbach are littered with large numbers of claims that never panned out, such as the insistence that the iPhone 12 would feature a 120Hz display, bigger batteries, improved Face ID, and improved optical zoom. There have also been incorrect rumors about a native iPad Calculator app in iOS 13, iPhone displays that work under water, Dark Mode being delayed, and a HomePod launch in Austria and Italy within 2019, to name a few.

Last year, directly ahead of the iPhone 12event, Weinbach issued a wave of detailed "leaks" about the iPhone 12 lineup that were similar to this thread. Virtually none of the rumors from the equivalent tweet thread last year came true. Despite these ultimately incorrect rumors, Weinbach correctly predicted that the ‌iPhone 12‌ would feature a new blue color option last year.

So basically ignore all this and just wait until the event? Seriously! At least he got the blue colour correct last year though.

I've been ranting about this since Feb. on another thread..others have the same issue, frustration. Junk health, poor daily battery life. Apple has not helped one bit after multiple exchanges online, in store.
Battery life according to them is "optimal, normal" (no, it's far from normal)

Not asking for a new phone, a new battery however would be nice.
