6m patina on the Nomad rugged brown case. Almost looks black.

Does the black apple leather case turn any darker with time? I have had mine for like 5 months and still looks grayish.

Wow! It looks amazing for such a short amount of time. I can’t wait for mine to arrive sometime this week from Verizon.
Yeah, for the first 4 weeks there wasn’t much of any patina. Just this past couple weeks has a patina started to come on now. But it’s worth the wait and don’t rush it! I just use it and don’t use anything special on it.

Thanks! Yeah hopefully soon I ended up getting a extra saddle brown with that great deal Verizon has

Good thing you did cause the sales are done. I end doing the same. Now I have the blk, two saddle brown, and a forest green leather. Oh and two symmetry from Verizon lol, talk about hoarding

Hahah really good deal hard to not take advantage of.

Well, still haven’t received my case from Verizon ordered 05/30 and marked as shipped the same day with econo 3-5 day service. I called Verizon and they couldn’t locate my order number or location code associated with the order. The first rep I spoke with said my order number should be 7 characters long. It’s 15 characters long. She then transferred me to the sales department. The rep tried everything to look up my order and can’t find any record of it. He tried the order number, order confirmation number, location code, email associated with my paypal id, name and price of the item ($27.05). 30 minutes later he said I’ll need to try and use the chat feature on Verizon.com with my order number to see if they can track it down. Today will be 6 days since it shipped (no tracking number provided) so I’ll have to get in contact with Verizon through their chat. If not, I’ll file a claim with PayPal to get reimbursed and then just buy at full price from Best Buy.

Update: Nothing today as far as the case or an email with a tracking number. I filed a claim with PayPal. Let’s see what happens.
I actually went to Verizon today and tried to exchange the saddle brown case. I gave them the online order number and they said it was too long. I then searched my email and found the “your item has been shipped” email. On that email, there’s the 7 digit order number they needed. Hope this helps.

I never received the order shipped email. I only received the order confirmation email with that long confirmation number that doesn’t seem to work with any search function Verizon is using. 😕I’ll continue to use the faux patina saddle brown case I currently have until the cases go on sale through another vendor. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Update: Received my case just now from Verizon and immediately cancelled my claim with PayPal. And also, immediately slapped the case on. Let the natural patina process start again!! What a difference between my old saddle brown case that I artificially aged and the new case.

Blech, I've never been a fan of fake patina on any type of leather. Even when manufacturers do it on purpose on some clothing stuff and other products.

Birthday is coming up ...just asked for a Saddle Brown Genuine Apple Leather Case LOLOL
