Andar aspen in Hunter green. One month + patina update
Veronica at RL told me in my last email, that orders would be despatched tomorrow, Wednesday 19/11. I suppose we will all have to wait and see if this is the case.
Damn! your three week old patina is crazy. I get that maybe 6 months in or something. Does horween leather feel different compared to Andar or RyanLondon? I am thinking about getting a nomad as well

I think the Horween is similar to the Ryan London in terms of leather quality. The Olde Dublin changed a lot in the first 24 hours. Think that’s just how it is. The smell and feel of the Burgundy chromexcel is fantastic. Both different but amazing in their own ways. Would recommend. High quality.
Now been told by RL that despatch wont be today, after confiming that this morning, and it will probably be next week. Have told them they are offering a lot of smoke and mirrors at present for money that people have spent with them and have asked them if they have the actual physical stock or if they are still awaiting for it to arrive. I await their response.
Mine has finally updated and says it’s arrived at my local post office, so I SHOULD see it tomorrow… fingers crossed!
They’ve always been excellent in the past, but with this release they’ve definitely not delivered so far. Let’s hope the case itself makes up for the delays!
Have now received a tracking number from RL funnily enough after questioning their stock, so i may hopefully get it by the weekend. This is the first time i have had any issues with them, i dont mind the waiting if theyre just honest about how long the wait would be and not keep moving the dates.
Nomad Modern Horween leather cases. Burgundy (new) & Olde Dublin (3 week patina). The chromexcel leather of the Burgundy is really soft and smooth compared to the textured and porous olde dublin.
YMV have released these in various colours which looks nice for those wanting the camera area covered. Same design as the lucky coin and bullstrap cases but should patina really nicely.

That olive also looks real intriguing and the worn down saddle brown
'Stead waxed' is the name apparently. The green they've called 'Swamp' lol I kinda like that.

I had to ping them several times to get a delivery confirmation as well. I initially reached out on Nov 11 as Nov 10 was the quoted ship date when I pre-ordered. I was told they had encountered delays and the case should ship by Nov 14, and Nov 18 at the latest. When I had received nothing by Nov 18, I reached out again and I got the good news your case has been dispatched message. Last ling from Royal Mail was on Nov 18 (We have received your item at LANGLEY HWDC, our international processing centre. Your item is being prepared for despatch overseas). I am hopeful to get a message that it has arrived at my local post office for delivery in the next few days.
I will say that I have had nothing but good experiences with them in the past, and they have been responsive to any messages I have sent them. Hopefully the case is worth the wait. My silicone temp case feels gross in my hand.
RL open bottom case has arrived… was worth the wait! Fits nicely, feels high quality, buttons and responsive and aligned and it smells great.
