I want to get a saddle brown case for my 12 PM but it looks somewhat bright out of the box. Do you guys think it will get darker as previous cases did?

I’m asking because since the design now features sharper edges it will probably show an uneven wear unlike say a brown leather case for the 11 Pro and prior.

Having gone for Product Red leather cases (aged terribly) and Saddle Brown leather cases (looks beautiful even after a year of use) previously, I’ve gone California Poppy this time round. I’ve seen lots of peoples opinions about it developing a terrible patina but I’m really curious and looking forward to seeing how it ages.
Please please post pics/updates I’m so torn!

I bought the leather wallet case from Mujjo for the iPhone 11 pro, I previously had a case from Mujjo but it feels very good in terms of build quality. The iphone feels very protected and the leather is made of high quality, you can already smell that it is real leather and that the case is almost completely made of it. I chose the black version because I love that the case keeps looking like new

My black leather case for the 12 Pro is out for delivery! Very excited to have an Apple branded leather case after having a XR for the last 2 years. After seeing a lot of pictures in this thread, I think I will also eventually like to grab the saddle brown case as well. I'm a fan of how it ages over time.

Yep, leather will always get darker over time. And uneven wear is part of the charm.
I’m guessing that the sides may not patina as much as in past years, but you probably won’t notice. The back is still flat, so it will likely weather nicely.

Just shipped the old dog back to the farm. Slightly under 5 months’ patina.

Someone knows the weight of the silicone case vs leather case?
For the 12PM cases. Saddle leather / Plum Silicone. Measurement in Grams.

In my example, I'm comparing a 12 mini leather to a 12 (regular) silicone case. I haven't weighed a 12 mini silicone or a 12 (regular/Pro) leather but I think the leather cases are lighter in general than the silicone cases.

How come the the leather case is lighter than silicon case?
This years' leather cases appear to be much thinner than silicone ones and last years' leather. Less material, less weight.
2020 leather cases barely add bulk to the phone - it doesn't feel like much leather though which makes it less premium to some users. I'm happy with it.

I have heard that the leather is thinner every year than the year before, is there any leather left? Lol

Tbh, that's exactly how it feels when you take it in your hand without your phone.
Don't think thickness of the leather layer is more than 1mm.
Definitely a lot thinner than previous cases - and that's including magnets within the case!

Anyone getting the MagSafe charger with the leather case or skipping out to avoid the ring?
