I had never heard of this one before, but it looks like a replica of the Apple case, and for a great price! With the 180 day return policy Home Depot lists for this, it seems worth trying out!

Sweat is water and salt and is awful for leather.
I've been using Armor All cleaner and conditioner (different products) for my car seats and iPhone cases for years. Apple recommends use warm water wipe down but that takes away dye. I've seen people use better leather cleaners but Armor All has been good enough for me.

Wow, of all the places! I ordered one from Home Depot for my 12 PM. Estimated delivery is 12/9. Will post some pics.
I have a black leather ESR case for my Mini arriving tomorrow, I will be interested in seeing how it compares to the black leather Apple one I had bought on Sunday. I plan to return the Apple one since it cost $60, while the ESR was on sale for $18.99 yesterday for Cyber Monday. If quality is a slight step down I am fine with that given the price difference.
well, i placed an order at the local apple for a saddle brown, california poppy and purple silicone cases but after reading this thread more - it seems like these 12PM leather cases come with some weird smell so i may just cancel those

Just ordered my first ever leather case, blaming you all for this.😂 went for the midnight blue, thought it would go nicely with the dark blue apple watch and strap, my fitbit has a blue strap too.
This is adventurous for me, up until this year I went for basically black everything. If there'd been a darke shade of blue for the SE20 I might have gone for that.
I do like blue if it wasn't obvious lol.

That was actually part of the decision to go for that blue, I liked the pics on here of people's cases getting darker with age/use. Black with the odd hint of blue appeals to me and if it ends up looking basically black then I haven't had to buy an extra black one.☺️
I have the Baltic blue since the first week of release and doesn’t look like it has darkened at all yet. I don’t love the light blue. I am tempted to try to get some navy blue leather dye to darken it.
It's only been a couple of weeks. Give it some time for the wax to wear off. You could use a piece of foam to help take some of the wax off.
3-4 months of usage on my old iPhone 8 saddle brown case. It was used on my se2 for a few months and now it’s on my co-workers se2. I guess they won’t make them like this anymore. 😕

Coconut oil and leather conditioner don’t do much unless the wax coating is worn off. I think you can use a magic eraser sponge to help remove it, but if I go that route, I might as well dye it. I like the Baltic blue, but do not love it. A darker navy blue would be more appealing to me. But I just don’t know if I want to go through the effort of a proper re-dye job.
I would leave it. I’ve seen many cases ruined that way. I’ve ruined one myself😅

I’ve done it before with my old IPhone X and Nomad case. It was a brown case, and I wanted black. I used acetone to remove any coating (and most of the brown dye), and then re-dyed it black. Came out fine. I think I posted pictures, if not here, maybe on Reddit.
But, black is easy to dye. Blue, not so sure. I’ll probably let it go for now, but still, the temptation is there.
