Going to try another apple leather case. I’ve always ordered saddle brown and want to try a different color. What’s everyone’s suggestions? Poppy or red? I’ve had black and saddle brown. I want something a little different.
Edit: I have the black 12 variant.
Or maybe the leather sleeve? 😮
Edit #2: I ended up ordering the saddle brown sleeve. It’ll get her Monday and probably be returned by Friday. Lol! Unless I really like it. That’ll eliminate my need for a wallet.

Power move on the sleeve. I wouldn’t be half surprised if you kept it, I’m thinking about getting one myself. A sleeve is somewhat a niche item, but when the use case fits a sleeve can’t be beat. Plus some nice apple quality leather...it looks pretty cool. I need that pink citrus in my life and I’m beginning to accept it. Interested to read about your thoughts on the sleeve.
No where for cash lol, yep i still like my old school cash. What case will you stick the wallet too, i have the Black OB Aneu magsafe so that would work. $89AUD though about what my Bellroy wallet was.
Man, I thought about the cash deal. I’ll keep cash on my belt. I usually only carry about $20-$40 on me for emergencies.
Hopefully I’ll end up liking it. I’ve never gone caseless on any of my iPhones for an extended period of time. I tried it for a while on my xr and liked it, but eventually went back to a case. Before that I was caseless on my old note 8.
From what a few YouTuber’s are noticing; the leather on the sleeve is a true real leather and does not feel the same as the cases. The theory is, apple used real leather or real European leather on the sleeves(reflected in the price[?]) and some sort of synthetic leather on the cases. Take that with a grain of salt, these are YouTube reviewers and not leather enthusiasts. I’ll report back when the sleeve comes in.

That is how squared off edges will look after an extended period of time. It’ll look a better with cleaning and conditioning but not really day and night.
is there anyone with a California Poppy on their iPhone for a reasonable period of time?

One month with the SB leather. Some slight wear showing on the left side, as that’s where my fingers tend to rest when I hold the phone (but you have to look at it at just the right angle to notice). I have to say this seems to be holding up better than in previous years. (This particular case has some uneven edges and the corner issue so it’s going back).
I don’t think Apple’s leather cases will ever be the same. 😕

I fear you may be correct, I hate to venture off from the Apple leather cases but I might have to try out the bullstrap leather case when available for the pro max
Well, I have to admit that some times I hoped that the red leather stay bright. By the way, i agree with you: seems that both aged well
I’m thinking this too. I have the black and brown leather cases and they just don’t do it for me. Going with a Burkley case, and I’m excited for it to get here. I may be returning both leather cases and therefore the MagSafe wallet - unless I decide to try the Aneu. If that case is good I’ll keep the wallet. If not, then no Apple cases or MagSafe novelties for me.

I went with Apple leather case for my previous iPhone. 6s plus. Yes, you read it right. The black leather case aged beautifully. I didn’t go with Apple case for my 12 pro, as none of them looked good. And for me, the closed bottom was a non-starter. I’m going with bullstrap and burkley this time.
If I were to keep either the saddle brown or black leather cases, it would most likely be the black. Are you considering a magsafe wallet in your future, or nah?
Burkley cases are looking right! Have one on order. Not very thrilled w my saddle brown Apple case, probably going back. Which do you like the best of the three?
I love the feel of the Barlow Snap On cover and the color, but I guess I’m figuring out I’m not a huge fan of the open bottom of the case. I know some folks love that so if thats the case You will love this one. The Connor case in Burnished Tan is nice and I lIke that it can hold more cards than the Apple wallet, but it can be just a little bit slippery (at least since its new). I know its not fair since I’ve had it longer, but the Apple one is still my favorite at least for grip and I think I’m more of a fan of the complete coverage around the entire phone.
I will say though the Burkley leather is very nice And a bit thicker for sure compared to the Apple one.
I can’t understand why they make the card case with a closed bottom but the regular leather case with the open bottom. I’m like you and prefer a closed bottom, but I don’t want/need a card case.
Thanks, some good comparison points. Yeah, that’s the one thing that’s got me iffy on the Barlow - the open bottom. I like full coverage and never had an issue swiping since the iphone X. Glad you like them all
Agree. If they made the Barlow snap on as a full case I’d probably be keeping that one since the leather is very nice.
