Tried the open bottom with the Bulwark case and not for me. Digging the Apple Leather SB. Good thing we have choices. I feel like the fully surrounded case gives a lot more confidence in protection versus the open bottom that leaves the slight chance of damage if dropped.I may be biased cuz I've been using open bottom cases for a long time now. I prefer it. I feel closed bottom cases look more like a Tupperware bowl effect in a way.
I can respect that. I'm going to venture to guess that there's more closed bottom lovers vs open bottom? Agreed it is more protection.
I got the Bullstrap iPhone 12/pro case in Bourbon. Smells and looks great. One thing to note, Bullstrap's CS was amazing. I had a problem with my initial order and they sent me a new one ASAP no questions asked.

I had a different experience with their CS. I am sticking with Burkley. I also felt the Burkley leather slightly better than the Bullstrap.

Huge fan of the Bullstrap leather cases. Just got my first one about 10 days ago and love everything about it. Already showing some nice wearing and feeling/smelling fantastic. I have since joined the BS Society for the discounts and exclusive offer on the ocean blue leather strap (and an ocean blue iPhone case on the way to match).

They feel pretty much the same as the Apple leather cases to me. Solid and clicky.
Here is an update on saddle brown about a month of usage
I have the Ocean Bullstrap on the way for my Mini. In the meantime I’ve been using a SB Apple leather case I received as a gift.
Despite what everybody has said about Apple’s leather this year, I think their leather case feels great. I may end up sticking with it and sending the Bullstrap back since this one was a gift.
The case itself feels great and the buttons are tight and clicky, my only complaint is the color hasn’t shifted the way I expected it to. Makes me almost regret getting SB and wished I got black instead.
Yep. I’ve read a lot of that. Some people seem to prefer a case that doesn’t change/pick up color. I like to see a little wear on mine so I’m hoping I can be patient enough to see it on this one.

Agree. The Apple leather SB feels better everyday IMO. The grip is perfect. Starting to see some changes in color on the edges also. 👍
The combination of white and SB, in my opinion, is the best out of all this year!
Does anyone have an Apple leather MacBook sleeve? Wondering if they develop patina the same as the cases.

Closed bottom is such a turn off
pretty sure they’d be better. Cases use the worst grade of leather
Well, it looks like I’m back to the trusted black leather case again. I’ve not been happy with the way the SB started to look after a month of daily use. I’m fine with a patina, but this looked more dirty than anything. Plus the different shade of brown on the camera ring sticks out a lot. I wish they would’ve matched it to the leather tone begged. The is too bright IMO, so I’m back in black. Hoping for some new colors in the Spring collection.
As a side note, this particular black leather case seems to have a very nice pattern on the back. Liking those lines.
