Still trying to decide if I want to keep this case

Anyone else getting irritated by the speaker and port cutouts on the bottom of the apple leather case for the 13 pro lineup? I have the pro max and the speaker cutouts feel so sharp that they grate into my pinky as I support the phone. Going ceaseless alleviates the problem entirely, so it’s not just the big heavy max model pushing down.

Maybe it’s just my grip, but the same sensation is present on two different colored cases, so that rules out a defect.

How is the drop protection on the Apple leather cases? The cases look pretty sturdy

A good balance between protection and slimness. Ideal for protecting against every day minor scuffs and bumps but I wouldn’t go throwing your phone down a flight of concrete steps…

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear- thanks! I wasn't thinking of going with an Otterbox, so I think the leather case and a screen protector should be good enough.

Nomad’s cases are the next level up with a really sturdy cushioned bumper around the edges of the phone, but they also add weight and bulk. As always it’s a compromise 👍

I can't decide on the golden brown or midnight... so i got both. Currently using the golden brown.. Hope it will aged like the Redwing gold russet leather...👍

For the first year in quite a while I went with the Silicon on the 13 Pro. I was disappointed in the quality of the leather for the 12 series.

While the phones are gone, I still have the cases so here’s my leather from the X (kept for 2 years), the 11 Pro Max and the 12 Pro Max.

The wear on the 12 is ugly and it really never darkened.

THIS!

They should design those cutouts like that for the mute switch.

I decided to go with the Bullstrap this year after having a saddle brown apple leather case on all my iPhones for many years and being very disappointed in last years on my 12 Pro as many others were. Might also order the Sena and decide between the 2. I don’t really use MagSafe accessories much so the Sena not having it shouldn’t really be an issue.

Will post pics later, but am impressed with the Apple leather case over last year’s. The leather smell is there and the bottom cutouts are much smoother/softer.

So much so that I’m seriously on the fence about picking up another Bullstrap after being such a huge fan last year!

Bizarrely, I am not—this after whining about it last year (check my post history!)

I went 13 Pro Max graphite this year with Midnight leather. I have usually gone Saddle Brown in the past. I remember my first iPhone leather case was black leather for the 6 Plus. That case felt amazing. 13 Pro Max with Midnight leather reminds me of that. It is very grippy, almost feels like a soft rubber, kind of sticky. The Saddle Brown has always felt a bit waxy and slippery in comparison. Midnight leather is definitely the way to go and will not look like crap after wear-in. The downside is it looks plain, but I can get over that. Also I wish the bottom was exposed. Some people don’t like that but it is more comfortable on the pinkies (due to sharp edge charger and speaker cut outs). And an open bottom also helps with wiping dust off the screen in one motion top to bottom. Just my two cents…

Agreed on the feel of the midnight case. I had the black leather last year on my 12 Pro and while I loved how it looked, it just didn’t really feel (or smell) like leather. This is the most impressed I’ve been on both the case and the phone in a very long time.

Wonder if Apple used a better quality leather supplier this year?

Is that why they’re charging more this year?

AUD$89 last year, $95 this year. Did they increase their prices in the US?
