One drop of the Nomad and this is what I get. :(

you must be joking? the leather has come away from the case its stuffed.

It’s hard to tell but it does look bad cause it’s an up close pic. Obviously if it hadn’t of happened that would be better. Usually you can push it back down and it’ll self heal and patina unless it’s so bad it keeps on peeling.

Well that sucks. Do they have any kind of guarantee or warranty for that? I’ve never owned Nomad so I’m not familiar with their policies.

There is a warranty and I've submitted a request for review.

That sucks but it will add to the character and story of your case.

Not this time. I'm all about leather aging/patina but separating from the case isn't part of that IMO.

I was able to get it to lay back in place but I pulled it out of my pocket to find it curled over. Stuffed, as has been said.

you should send an email to nomad and enquire whether it covers any warranty..

On a side note, able to share more pics of the damage? I’m very curious how thin the horween leather is on the nomad case.

I don't have the case with me. I'll try to remember to add more photos later but there really isn't much more to see.

Cheap construction. How much does nomad charge for their case?

It was $70 after tax and shipping.

I’ve had Nomad on my 12 PM and it was what I thought to be a really solid case. How hard of a hit was that?

I had the phone under my arm so it fell from between waist and chest height onto concrete.

Thats aging really nicely.
Yeah I have been very pleased with it so far. I’m not sure what Apple was thinking with its current iPhone 12-13 cases but the quality has fallen off a cliff compared to the 7-XS cases. I doubt I will ever buy another one unless Apple dramatically improves the quality. The Bullstrap also has an open bottom, which I really like since it makes swiping up much more pleasant.

So after the destruction of my Nomad “rugged” case, I’m back in the Ali bumper. The Nomad was so soft and smooth while the bumper is the polar opposite. I have the Apple Midnight leather case if I feel like going back to that profile but for now I’m a happy bomb.

Looking closer to the horween leather on the nomad, Is it very thin? as thin as the Nomad leather skin they're selling?

I’ve removed the leather off an old iPhone X case a while back and it’s very thin piece of leather

I suspect so too. cos i see the shape of the magnet ring protruding on certain lightings..

It would be interesting if someone posted on Youtube the teardown of Nomad case, comparing to other leather cases.?

Really like the Andar case 2 months in! Daily magsafe use and heavy usage! Here is a pic of it brand new and 62 days in: View attachment 1931826View attachment 1931820View attachment 1931821

Looks great. But i see the same flaws that people complain about with Apple leather cases. The edges are dark/blackish, while rest of case has not patina nearly as much . The MagSafe ring imprint…which here is actually worst because you are developing patina / black ring with the MagSafe charger itself!
