Mine doesn’t feel that way. But I removed the coating on day one. If you left your coating maybe the roughness is from it wearing off naturally? Otherwise I have no idea.

Looks nice! How do you find the buttons? Are they tactile enough? I’m on the fence and would like to buy this case but I’m afraid that the buttons won’t work well.
Got an apple wisteria case about 2 months ago. The coating is wearing off mostly at the corners and slightly where magsafe is used. Its gone sticky as well, what should I do?
I also Bought a midnight case last week from amazon.
Read this forum yesterday and just caved in to the BS sienna case so i might return the midnight one.
I still love my old airsnap pro case with the carabiner.

Those were the days of great leather cases!
At a car paint store, I ran into a chemical stripper that was light, effective, and evaporated quickly. I got it for tar blobs on my beautiful red car. I wonder if that would be a better way to 'age' these leather items. *shrug*
I definitely love the bullstrap over Apple. As a matter of fact this will be my go to case on every phone moving forward. Love the fit and feel! Post your new bullstrap when you get it!!
I have found conditioner/protectant to make it more slippery. Cleaner or wipes are better
Apple will sell you a new one if you want. I'd just keep it.
I'm with @maximus96 on this. Those cases rip pretty easy - your case is going to have battle scars over its life. It'll be great practice just letting those things heal up over time.
Sometimes you get a nice generous genius who will offer a replacement in situations like this. I do believe it is becoming more rare tho.

Oh yeah. Second time I've done this, and both times the case held up great. Apple leather is the greatest

Brand new case vs 1 month old bullstrap sienna case (Jan 6)
Same brand new case vs same older case approx 2 weeks later (Jan 18)
It darkened considerably. Honestly I found a new series of books to read during this time period and basically spent all my free time reading on my phone which probably quickened the process. You can see where my index finger rests when I hold the phone naturally in the particularly dark patch in the middle lol
I’m probably going to get a case from this company for my next iPhone as well. Maybe in different color to switch it up.
Most leather cases I’ve used (including Apple’s) had turned a little sticky from hand oil over time but I am not feeling any of that for this case yet. Yes, texture did change from soft grainy to soft smooth, but not sticky.
I also decided to buy my Airpods 3 (got it last week for birthday) case from them too. Pending shipment. Can’t wait to get it! It’s like my birthday is happening again.

I actually love the color of the brand new case. I don’t mind patina but that is really quite a lot darker.
I wanted to get an airpods case/magsafe wallet from either bullstrap or andar. But its looks like I just missed the BF boat. Am I silly to get them now at full prices?
