They never shipped my iPhone 16 Pro case rom last year lol. Pretty bad experience and I ordered early. Didn't even think about them this year. I did have a Bluebonnet for the 14 or 15 (can't recall which one) and I liked the case.

Unfortunately not. That’s why I had switched back to the Nomad Traditional (which is all leather, unlike the Nomad Modern). But it’s not horrible. None of these cases are going to be super thick- they’re just leather wrapped around a plastic frame.
Nomad Modern case has the rubber sides and fat bottom The Nomad Traditional is all leather. It’s less bulky than the Modern case. It sounds like you have the Nomad Modern. I have the Nomad Traditional.
Unfortunately I can’t stand the logo on the Bellroy. As long as they keep putting it prominently on their stuff, I won’t be buying.
Yeah forgot, I did have the tradition for 16 max, still on a 16 pro now.
Bellroy make great wallets too, I stick with them.

Just wanted to comment here having received the Nomad Modern today, it does not have that fat bottom on the iPhone 17 Pro cases. I kept seeing this mentioned, and it looks like this was true for their previous versions.

Does modern have metal ring or tpu?
Wrap around display? Can you see phone color?
The camera bump ring feels plasticy, could be aluminum underneath but the coating is soft. The case hides the phone color on the face around the screen, all you see is the screen and the black case.
Between the Nomad Traditional Leather Case (Horween) and the Bellroy Leather Case, which one is slimmer? I ordered the Nomad, but now with all these discussions I’m undecided. I want the slimmest option, ideally comparable to the old Apple leather cases or even slimmer.
I ordered on Sept. 15th. Was just told today another 8-10 business days for shipping. They clearly decided to add the camera control button later on and have no cases to ship yet. Also why they haven’t even added a photo of the case with the camera control button. Really frustrating.
What’s even more annoying is 1. Their website says they are in stock, when they aren’t and 2. Them telling this lie that they “sold out” right away. I find it hard to believe they sold out and not one person has posted a photo in this forum.
I finally got my Decoded in and despite my reservations I really like it. No signal degradation from the metal plateau cover and the leather is really soft. The camera button cover is ever so slightly recessed and to me is perfect but this is my first so no experience to compare.
The only gripes I have are the smell (kinda leather, kinda something else) and the logo on the back but I actually prefer it to the Bullstrap I used last.

That’s great that they fixed that issue with the new cases. One of my biggest complaints about the modern case.
I switched back to the Lonli Edition for now. I may just wind up alternating between the Nomad traditional and Lonli Edition every few days. Both cases are great, and both have their pluses and minuses.
I actually returned mine in large part because it was not slim. It was actually pretty thick compared to the Lucky Coin I kept while I wait for the Blue Bonnet (which I’m hoping is “the one” this year).
The Lonli was slightly bigger in all dimensions than the LC, and given that the phone is already slightly thicker, this just made it feel too big for my liking. The leather also felt very “treated” to me—not stiff/coated feeling, just less natural than the LC.
Hows the quality on these? There are some not so flattering photos of their 17 Pro case when it comes to the leather (I'm assuming) glued to the case near the top and bottom.

Yes I only have 16 pro though but had a look at 17 max one yesterday, same. No issues with leather I saw or one I have. Their service and warranty is excellent.
I’d love a bellroy but man that huge logo on the case is a no from me.
I think it looks worse in photos, it's stamped and blends in on my black case, never even notice it or care.

The Bellroy website says it is 14.5mm thick. Apple Silicon case is closer to 11.5mm thick by my own measurements (I accept this is imperfect). So I am a bit confused. I have a 17 Pro btw.
Any chance of knowing the weight of the case?
I can almost certainly say that the blue bonnet leather will feel better than Lonli Edition. I have the edition right now and the leather feels off. It’s way too buttery and has this pinkish brown tone to it. Based on the photos of the BB, it’s clear it’s a tougher leather which is what I love.
I’ve never liked how they have TPU on the top/bottom/screen lip/etc. It feels more of a plastic case with a leather insert (like the nomad modern). I realize that all leather cases are plastic inside, but I prefer it to be fully wrapped. I also don’t like logos on the back. I had a bellroy for my 16 pro for a bit and didn’t love it, especially as the leather patinas and the plastic stays the same color (which accentuates the design).
