Wiiuka skiin with MagSafe since Feb 22.

Torro leather sleeve used on and off since January 2021. The last pictures are of what the sleeve looked like on day 1. The picture don’t show much of a change, but in person it’s noticeable.

Natural Nomad case came in today - just the tiniest bit of what looks like water spotting by the volume buttons from whoever returned it, but I'm sure those will be gone within a week or two of use. Not sure I love how close the peachy color of the rubber rim is to the fresh leather, but once the back has darkened up a bit it will probably provide some nice contrast (and really I'm just glad it's not white or black). The dark spots in the picture are just shadows.

Bottom cutouts are fine, not sharp on my pinky. Power button feels good, volume down button is fine, volume up button is pretty mushy - not a deal-breaker, just noticeably less tactile than on the Apple cases.

Wasn't going to get two cases, but this was practically two for one ($40 for the Outlet Nomad, $30 for the Apple silicone case through Amazon Warehouse) and I really like the feel of them both, so... ?
I returned mine due to the peachy color of the rubber rim, seemed like it would look weird once the leather darkened. I'm interested to see how yours turns out though! Please post an update!

After a few weeks my apple leather cover is a bit sticky and not as smooth to the touch as new.

Is this a normal process? Has it happened to any of you?

Yeah, it’s leather. It’s like when you buy a new car and the leather steering wheel is ‘matte’ but after a few weeks and months the leather becomes shiny and “sticky” with grip due to the oils of your hands.

You can bring it back to a matte finish again by using a leather conditioner/cleaner spray.

lol, I get a brand new car every 3-5 years with a leather steering wheel never had that problem.

Apples leather is probably dog coming out of china.

Is there a leather case that has no lip and shows the phone’s stainless steel band? That’s what I like about the Apple cases but the lip constantly reminds me I’m using a case every time I swipe across the screen.
I take it this doesn’t exist?

Thanks,

I'm a car fanatic and know the case well. I clean my case with a leather cleaner and conditioner (Meguiar's Rich Leather) but the situation does not improve.

It's really awful and lousy to use the phone e like that ?

I love that blue, was a really hard choice between the Bourbon and the blue. I’d have gotten the blue for sure if I didn’t have the Alpine Green IP.
I still think sienna would have been the best pairing for the AG. Bourbon close second because of the red undertone. I say pick up a sienna anyway for spring summer vibes. I love my black and hesitated getting a sienna because I like it so much but at the same time I want a spring summer case too!

Then I get to repeat this process when the iPhone 14 comes out lol

3month old midnight leather wallet vs new midnight leather case. It’s not really perceptible on this pic, but the wallet is quite a bit darker and with a richer colour.View attachment 1984640
Looks amazing! I think this year the quality of leather that apple used was quite good but I hate that they don't patina at all. My dark cherry still looks more or less the same but it feels great in the hand, quite grippy actually.

This is my same experience as well. When I tried it at the Apple Store it felt pretty good. However, I soon found that in hot and humid environments (where I am located it is humid most of the time) it starts to become sticky till the point that it becomes too unpleasant to use. On some days, however, it feels less sticky and usable.

This has been my experience as well. Having used Andar and Nomad leather this year, I only lasted a day the last time I went back to my Midnight case. Just unpleasant.

SAME! Now that it's sunny here, the case feels very soft again, this is fascinating but terrible at the same time hahah

I had been happily using a midnight case since October, but recently I’ve noticed it becoming sticky. At first I kept thinking it was my hands, but it’s definitely the case. Very disappointing after 4 years with a great Apple leather case on my iPhone X. Obviously I keep my phones a long time, so I might just bite the bullet and get a Bullstrap (which unfortunately has gone up in price to $85).

How does the Nomad case compare to the official leather case in your experience?

I understand that it's heavier and thicker, wondering how much it weighs exactly?
